(The next day, at the Heasley household, the Heasleys are about to have breakfast)

Eugene Heasley: Girls! Breakfast! Get it while it's hot.

(Sophia, Wendy and Carla arrive)

Eunice Heasley: Morning, girls. Where's Clara?

Sophia: She already left.

Eunice Heasley: She did? Without eating breakfast?

Wendy: She had to get to school early... ... because she's in a school play.

Eunice Heasley: Really?

Carla: Yes. She plays a mouse. And they rehearse every morning before school.

Eugene Heasley: Why didn't she tell us?

Sophia: She forgot. You know, being worried about her new friends.

Eugene Heasley: Right.

Eunice Heasley: Well good. This'll keep her mind off it.

Eugene Heasley: Yeah.

Sophia: Got to go. (She, Wendy and Carla leave)

(Meanwhile, Generous was tired from flying all night)

Donna: Oh, boy. This is a sign, Clara.

Clara: We're not giving up. (Climbs on Generous)

Donna: Oh, why not? Giving up is fun. And look at all the time you save. I'm telling you, if more people gave up, there'd be fewer wars.

(Later, after school, Sophia, Carla and Wendy try to get in without Eunice knowing. However, she noticed them)

Eunice Heasley: Girls.

The girls: Hi, Mom/Eunice.

Eunice Heasley: Hi. Where's Clara?

Sophia: You mean she's not home? Oh, I just remembered. She told us to tell you that she's rehearsing again. At Diego's house. And she's sleeping over there tonight.

Eunice Heasley: Sleepover? On a school night?

Wendy: Hey, that's what she said. Got to go. (They leave)

(Soon the girls call Diego)

Diego: (Picks up the phone) Hello?

Sophia: Hey, Diego. It's me, Sophia. If my mom calls, Clara's at your house, okay?

Diego: (Notices someone else is calling) Hold on a second. (It was Eunice) Hello?

Eunice Heasley: Diego, hi. It's Mrs. Heasley. May I speak with Clara, please?

Diego: Oh, Clara. You mean now?

Eunice Heasley: Well, now is when I'm calling.

Diego: Oh, she just went in the bathroom. I think she'll be a while. She brought a magazine.

Eunice Heasley: Well, then, is your mother there?

Diego: Hold on a second. (Switches to Sophia) I told her.

Sophia: Did she buy it?

Diego: Yeah, but now she wants to speak to my mom. What will I tell her?

Wendy: Make something up. You're smart.

Diego: (Switches to Eunice) She can't come to the phone right now. She's in the bathroom, too. But not the same bathroom!

Eunice Heasley: Just let her know I called.
