xxxiii. Forever And Always

THE DREADED DAY HAD ARRIVED. The day every single person in her life was currently dreading. A long, tiring, depressing day. A day full of loss and guilt. Many different emotions portrayed by the people she loves most.

In her eyes, she was finally going be at peace. She wouldn't suffer anymore, or hurt the people she loves anymore. She'll never have to return to a life of only pain. Finally, Juliette Brown will be numb. It makes sense in Juliette's opinion. She finally will be free.

She can close her eyes permanently and drift into a never ending sleep. Her dreams will be able to come true in her fantasy. Her eyes will finally light up again with that same spark she had before her diagnosis. When Juliette finally gets her spark, everybody else will lose theirs. When Juliette is finally at peace, everybody else will be dealing with their emotions. When Juliette is finally smiling, everybody else will be crying.

The red haired girl is currently laying in her hospital cot, breathing shallow as tubes are connected to all parts of her body. Her hand is desperately reaching for Jack's, but it's suddenly impossible to find his hand. She needs Jack right now. She needs to be with him when she passes. It'll be perfect. Juliette will get her perfect ending. Finally. Finally!

A loud cough left Juliette's lips, the sound echoing throughout the room. Juliette's throat closed up, words not being able to be produced. She can only let out quiet gasps, or shallow breaths. She can't lie, she's in pain. Juliette doesn't care, because she knows it'll go away.

A knock on the door interrupted Juliette's thoughts. The door slowly opened, revealing both Scarlett Samuels and Madison Parker. Their hands are intertwined, soft frowns on their face. They seem comfortable around each other. A sight Juliette has always wanted to see. They're not arguing. They're perfectly fine. They're a perfect couple together.

"Julie, hey." Scarlett greeted, sitting down on the edge of Juliette's bed. The blonde looked down at Juliette, chest tightening when she looked at Juliette's physical and mental state. "You look pretty,"

"Well, I hope so." Juliette quietly said, voice barely audible. "I'd like to die pretty."

Scarlett let out a shaky laugh. "Of course," She quietly said, sharing a weak smile with Juliette.

Juliette slowly sat up, letting out a wince when she propped her head against the pillow. Her body is resting against the wall, uncomfortably shifting every few moments. "Fuck hospital beds." Juliette muttered, tucking her air behind her ears. "Like it?" She laughed, gesturing to her shoulder length hair.
