When you realize you like him- Mikey

You and Mikey had been hanging out more and more. You guys liked to meet at the skatepark or even Mr. Murakami's shop sometimes. He even came over to your apartment once or twice.

Today was no different. You were sitting on your skateboard waiting for Mikey to show up. You were watching skating videos on YouTube, and found a trick you wanted to try out.

You got up, mounted your skateboard, and started skating towards a ramp. You tried the trick with no success a few times before Mikey showed up.

"Y/n! Hey sorry I'm late."

"Nah its cool Mikey. I've been trying this new trick and I just can't seem to get it."

Mikey set his skateboard down and walked over to you as you pulled your phone out. You pulled up the video you were watching earlier and started to play it.

Mikey stood behind you, looking over your shoulder to see the video. He rested his head on your shoulder as he watched.

The both of you watched the video a few times before trying it out yourselves.

You took turns with Mikey, trying to see who could get it the fastest. You laughed when he landed on his butt, and he did the same to you.

After about half an hour of trying, you guys took a break and started doing other tricks you knew you could do.

Kickflips, ollies, and grinding half pipes to boost your confidence.

After a while, Mikey stopped you and told you to sit. You hadn't seen him for a moment, as he had skated around a wall and was doing something while you were off skating somewhere else.

You sat down in the middle of the park, on your board, and watched Mikey.

He skated around so that he was in front of you, and then took off. He skated for a moment, gaining momentum, and went up a ramp just to the right of you.

He flew up into the air, striking a pose. The moon was bright tonight, and it alluminated him in a way that was almost mesmerizing.

You couldn't help but stare in admiration as he seemingly effortlessly pulled off the stunt the two of you had been trying to pull off for the last hour.

You clapped as he landed and ran over to him. You gave him a hug, wrapping your arms around his neck so that he would wrap his around your waist and lift you up.

You smiled and congratulated him, to which he laughed happily. He set you down and picked up his board.

"Yea it was pretty easy. Almost like it came naturally to me."

He said with a big cheezy grin on his face. You could tell he was messing around with you.

"Oh really? Well I guess paying for dinner will come naturally to you as well?"

You said with a smug look on your face. His smile dropped for a moment before he looked into your eyes and smiled again.

The both of you started laughing as you walked together over to a picnic table.

Being with with Mikey was a dream come true, and you couldn't stop thinking about how your heart fluttered when you saw him up in the air.

Shaking your head of those thoughts, you sat down to enjoy the rest of the night with your turtle friend.
