Jaden's Pov:

Coach said that he would be a few minutes late today because he was bringing someone special, I'm curious if it's a new player.

Camila's Pov:

"Do I really have to go? I don't wanna smell sweaty boys for 3 and a half hours dad." I look at my dad who looks excited to take me to his baseball team's practice today "Camila, I think it will be nice for you to come! You can maybe show them how you play. Who knows, you might be better than them!" that made me smile so I decided to get my things and get in the truck. When we get to the field I see a bunch of boys looking at me except one. "Dad, why are they looking at me like that?" I'm covering the side of my face so they don't look at me anymore "They've never met you Camila. It's ok just continue to follow me until we get to the dugout." I continued to follow him and when we got to the dugout I got out everything I'd need to practice. When I go onto the field my dad introduces me to the players, the entire time I was looking at this one boy. He was so handsome, bit I couldn't let that mess me up. When my dad was finished talking he put us in pairs "Ok Jaden, you'll be with Camila." the boy I was looking at the entire time my dad was talking.

"We are going to run laps first to start warming up!"as soon as I heard the whistle blow I started running and before I knew it I was ahead of all the boys, except for Jaden because he was next to me. Soon enough it was time for me to practice batting, my dad had the boys pitch to me and I hit all of them but when it was my turn the boys missed except for Jaden. When practice was over, I was walking to my dad to get water when a player stopped me " Hi I'm Caleb, you did great today! Do you maybe wanna be friends?" he seemed so nice so I said yes and he gave me his number. I saw Jaden sideye him so I walked to him "You jealous?" he laughed "Nah, but you did do good today are you coming from now on or was this a one time thing?" I felt a smile creep onto my face "I can ask my dad and see if I can come from now on because I have practice on the days you guys don't." I texted my dad and asked him if I could.

          C: Hey dad, can I come to the practices from now on? I think it would make me even better at softball the extra practice yk?

P: Yes Camila! That's amazing that you enjoyed being here and getting extra practice! I might as well put you on the team lol.

          C: Like for real?!?!?

P: Yes, but the boys would have to get used to you being there so..

        C: YAY! OK I LOVE YOU SO MUCH🐻

I'm so happy so I show Jaden and he hugs me.
