The Search

Karma had been wondering around for the EDZ for a few days now. Pixie, her ghost, had told her there was a strong guardian presence here. She was hoping to find answers about her sister, Selene. They had been together for 10 years until recently when hive attacked the village they were in. Karma had stayed behind to fight as everyone else got to safety. Last she heard a team of Guardians had found her. That's why she is looking for any other guardian to see if they know where Selene could be.

"It's hopeless pixie there is no one here" Karma said as she looked around the empty field.

"There has to be someone my scans are never wrong" Pixie responded obviously doubting herself abit.

Karma kept looking around maybe they had been to late and the guardians left? She looked down at the amulet around her neck. It was a smooth black stone with a white snow fox on it. She had no idea where it came from only that she woke up with it. Selene hated that she wore it but would never tell her why. Karma sighed remembering her last conversation with Selene. They had argued over the amulet and if she should find out where it came from. 

"WATCH OUT!"

Karma was pulled from her thoughts as she dodged forward narrowly avoiding getting hit by a sparrow. The man on the back got off as he pulled to a stop. 

"Are you ok? I didn't know there were other guardians in the area" he looked worried as he ran towards her.

"I'm fine should have been paying attention" Karma stood up to dust the dirt off her armor.

"I told you so" Pixie gleefully started dancing around

"I'm Shaw Han" he held out a hand and karma shook it "who are you?"

"Karma and I'm looking for someone. About 6 months ago a village was attacked the survivors were rescued by some guardians. Do you know where they would have taken them?" Karma looked at him hoping he had an answer

"Probably either another village or the last city. The vanguard would know. Have you asked at the tower?"

"I have never been to the tower, not in all 3 years I have been a guardian," Karma looked at him as she answered him.

"Well that would be your best bet on finding answers." 

"Then I guess that is where I will go"

She thanked Shaw for his help then went back to her ship. She sighed heavily and set a course for the tower. It was the last place she wanted to be but she needed answers. She just hoped the answers were actually there. She didn't want to be known by the Vanguard. She doesn't have a choice.

Karma arrived at the tower with a grimace. I really hate this place she thought to herself. She exits her ship and starts asking around for information. She meets a blonde female mechanic who introduces herself as Amanda.

"Your best bet is to ask Zavala, He is up in the main part." Amanda pointed to the stairs as she spoke.

"Thank you" Karma walked towards the stairs and up toward the main area. She didn't notice the blue exo following her.

"Do you think he will have answers," Karma asked looking at her ghost.

"From what I know most likely," Pixie responded as she danced around.

"Oh he will,"  a familiar voice said behind her.

Karma turned to see Cayde 6 she had met him one time while she was outside the walls. He had shown her how to use her light as long as she promised to come to the tower one day. A smile came across her face.

"What are you doing here?" Karma looked at him with a puzzled look.

"I'm the hunter vanguard," He looked at her a second, " glad to see you finally made it."

"Do you know where Zavala is" Pixie interjected.

"Yeah he is in his office today follow me," Cayde said as he walked past her.

Karma followed him till they came to his office. They knocked and went inside to see the commander behind his desk head down. He looked up as you walked through.

"This is a surprise Cayde," Zavala looked amused "you never bring new lights to meet me"

"I'm not a new light," Karma said with confidence, "I'm looking for my sister. I was told some guardians had found her after her village was attacked and that you would know where to find her."

"When and where was this," Zavala asked as he looked at his computer.

"6 months ago a village called Paradise," she responded hoping he had answers but what he told her made her heart sink.

"No guardians from the tower were in that area at that time."

Karma sank to the floor. Who had her sister?
