Moving on

Chapter 2

We arrive at the cinema and the car stops abruptly giving me a bit of whiplash . Max's car didn't do that he always had the newest things . We get out stiffly , I look over at him and he looks back apologetically . Let's be honest here Zeke is gorgeous but at this moment in time I am in no way attracted to him . Zeke has tanned skin , sandy brown hair , piercing green eyes and navy braces . Max used to have easily burned pale skin with blonde hair and blue eyes , at this picture in my head I feel like crying . Zeke notices instantly and comes back to hold my hand . It feels nice to be touched , I don't think anyone really has touched me since Max died . I instantly freeze at the contact but then enjoy the feeling of his warm hand on mine . I smile and we walk in to the building hand in hand . He pays for the tickets and I buy a packet of em en ems to share . The movie goes really slow and when his big brother dies I cry and cry until I feel like all my tears are gone . I look over at Zeke in sudden embarrassment after crying and find his face is tear skinned aswell . We both laugh momentarily until we get shushed which makes us laugh even more . After the movie he drops me home . I just turn to him and say " I'm not ready to go back to reality " He under stand immediately and bring me out for ice cream . I get strawberry my favourite and he gets mint . We are walking down by the local river when we hear whooping we turn around and find these little kids , I instantly recognise one as Zekes brother . " Her bro what do you think your doing , do you really think that Max would like to take advantage of his death by stealing his chick ?" I turn to Zeke and he smiles at me then smiles at his little brother and says " if I liked Amy , and that is a big if . I would definitely not bring her on a date because I and Amy alike here love max . " I turn to him and say "loved " he instantly tears up . His brother gets the message that this is just friend to friend interaction and goes away with the rest of his crew . "Even though he is not still with us it does not mean we do not still love him " I just nod and turn away .

We are back in the car and are listening to some strange song that he obviously knows the words to . I like the way he is so enthusiastic . Max used to be a quite but Intimate person . We reach my house and hop out it urn around with a smile "would you like to come in " he looks at his watch "I have to be home for six but we have like an hour or so " simile and open the front door and take of my shoes . My mam comes rushing to greet me full of questions I look at her and give her an apologetic smile . She sighs knowing the questions will have to wait . He follows me inside and sees my shoes and does the same we go upstairs to my room . I hadn't noticed until then how messy my room was there where plates and things everywhere but no clothes he questions what I'm just thinking " did you change your clothes at all last week . I answer with the truth " I have no idea " . I start cleaning and gets the message and helps to . I t took a really long time to get my room back to its usual state we're sweaty when we finally finish . "Thank you so much for your help and the amazing day . " " Your welcome smelly " I smile through my embarrassment . He leaves my house by five to seven . I put my dirty pjs in the wash and put on a clean pair , brush my teeth , comb my hair and wash my face . I feel good and clean "I'm not smelly now am I ? " Asking myself . I start walking to the stairs and see my brother whatch ing TV I go to join him . I sit right beside and lean on him ,he puts his arm around me and kisses me on the forehead , I love when he does that . He's whatch ing some sort of programme I don't like but I don't really mind . I stroll into the kitchen and put two brownies I a bowl and put them in the micro wave . I take out the Ben and Jerry's and start eating it from the tub . When my brownies are finally warm I spoon Maoist of the tub into the bowl and go into david . He goes to take my soon but I just shake my head . He makes a really sad face and I laugh " your fat enough already " . My mam then walkers into the room and I know it's time to answer her questions .
