'Feathertail?' a voice interrupted. Crowfeather's glittery eyes were about to pop out. His... His mate!!!!
Leafpool half-froze, her tail had stopped brushing against Crowfeather, but Feathertail had seen. "Oh, Crowpaw. You haven't abandoned me right?'
Crowfeather's View
'I can't believe it!' Leafpool gasped. Crowfeather thought he heard disappointment in his voice but his head was too dazed.
Crowfeather replied, taking deep breathes, 'It is Crowfeather now.'
'This foolish cat named himself after you,' Leafpool added, but she purred, which showed that she cared for Crowfeather.
Crowfeather briefly locked eyes contact with Leafpool, who looked hurt.
'Crow ... Feather?' As irritated as Feathertail sounded at Leafpool, her happiness and surprise was clear in her voice.
Feathertail's View
L-little Leafpaw, stealing the stage? HOW DARE SHE!!!
She stumbled, 'Iwastryingtoconfronthim ... hewon'teatormoveorsleepor... He-stares-at-the-Moonpool-all-day-hoping-to-hear-from-you! Now I am glad that you'reback. I'llbettergonow ...'
With that she ran off. Hmm... The ginger she-cat hadn't seem too much like trouble.
'Oh, she was?' Feathertail asked lightly. Crowfeather was too surprised to respond, but when Feathertail brushed her tail to his, he returned to his sense.
'You are not dead after all!' he yelped, his excitement and joy pouring out immediately. 'Oh, you don't know how glad I am!!!! I hadn't lost you after all!!!'
Feathertail immediately relaxed. Maybe Leafpaw was right ... She was just trying to confront him. But then, Crowfeather's tail dropped.
'Leafpool did like me ...' Feathertail broke the contact, nervous and scared, but then he added, 'I hope she won't feel too sad. She knew that my heart is totally to you.'
'Leafpaw and you hadn't really get along before, huh,' Feathertail nodded.
'It is Leafpool,' Crowfeather said with a small chuckle, 'That names sound so stupid, I know.'
Feathertail's grin got even wilder if possible. Yep, Leafpool wasn't a challenge at all. She felt like she couldn't be more happy!
