"Haoxuan!" A hand slapped his back and without a moment of hesitation, Haoxuan grabbed the hand twisting it behind the man's back before slamming the said man onto the wooden table before him. "What the fuck! Have you lost your mind, Wang Haoxuan?!" Haoxuan didn't have time to exchange pleasantries so he got straight the business. Twisting the man's limb even harder he leaned over, snarling lowly. "You won't ever call me again. I won't be associated with you in any form from now on. My mate doesn't exist for you now, Bowen. You won't think about him, won't speak a word against him, and never...ever will you show us your face again." Dominant vibes clogged the air, a growl leaving the man under him and Xuan smirked at the Alpha's piss poor attempt to intimidate him. "You are making a mistake, Haoxuan. I can ruin your perfect little world with a single sentence. You don't want me upset", snarled Bowen and the man winced when he was pressed against the hard wood even more. "I made a mistake by not coming clean. I was a bastard for agreeing to break his heart but all bets were off the moment I saw him, Bowen. I knew it the moment I saw him that I'll never let that man cry." Yet, he had. His kitten had cried today because of him.
Haoxuan shook his head slightly clearing his head before his control snapped and he fucked Bowen up. All his wolf cared about was a way to vent out his frustration and beating up the man who once called his sweet kitten a "Stuck-up bitch" seemed like a great idea. "I was stupid enough to fear that you'll tell him the truth someday. I should have killed you. That way there would have been no chance of you ever exposing me but my A-Yang is too smart. If you turn up dead, he'll know I was responsible for it. It's because of him you are still living, Bowen. I came close a lot of times. Wanted to end this once and for all but I couldn't risk him leaving me. Thank my Jiyang because, without him, you would have been six feet under." Bowen yelped in pain, his claws raking over the table deep enough to leave marks, and a sinister smile embraced Haoxuan at the struggling man under him. "No matter how twisted it was, I met my kitten because of your little scheme so, I'll let you go. Don't make me regret this. You breathe a wrong word towards my mate and I'll fucking skin you alive. You hear me?" No answer came from the man and smiling wide, Haoxuan slashed the man's back open. "You hear me now, Bowen?" "Y-Yes." With a smile, the Alpha patted Bowen's face with his bloodied hand before standing up straight. "Jiyang's name will never fall from your lips. I see you anywhere near him and things will get ugly for you. I won't repeat myself." Grabbing the tissue box from the table Haoxuan wiped his claws walking out of Bowen's office. As Xuan stepped out, his eyes raked over all the employees who had no doubt heard the altercation between him and their boss. It was the fear on their faces that screamed that fact loud and clear. "Trust me. He had it coming." No one met his gaze and he casually binned the tissues in his hand. A moment later his phone rang and Haoxuan was running even before the call connected. "Where's he?", he ground out and immediately his Alpha responded, "Zhan-Zhan's house." Haoxuan pocketed his phone and all but flew to Jiang territory.
Haoxuan stared at the door in front of him and willed himself to calm down. Jiyang was here. All he needed to do was talk to the man and bring him back home. The fear that Jiyang would refuse twisted his insides but Xuan was not going to be without his kitten. They belonged together. They loved each other. Xuan was not going to let his kitten leave him. Never. Knocking onto the door, Xuan waited for someone to answer and as the door opened, Xuan stared at his Alpha's mate. There was a hard look in Zhan's eyes as he stared back at him and Xuan knew Jiyang had told Zhan everything. "Where is he?", he asked hoping the man didn't make this hard for him. Xuan knew the half-Alpha was his cousin's mate and probably the closest friend Jiyang had but Xuan was hanging by a very thin thread. If the man stopped him from going to his mate, Xuan knew he would snap. The last he wanted was to hurt the man but if Xiao Zhan stopped him, Xuan would forget who the man was. His only concern was reaching Jiyang. Nothing and no one else mattered. Surprisingly, Zhan didn't give him an earful despite the anger and disappointment on his face. Instead, the man advised Xuan to let Jiyang rest and give him time. He also offered Xuan to stay the night. "Thanks for letting me in. I just...I can't stay away for too long. I gave him a couple of hours but I couldn't do it anymore." Xuan had no idea why he said the words out loud. He didn't need to explain himself to anyone but Zhan had called Xuan his friend just now. Xuan didn't have a lot of them and from what he knew, Zhan was a good man. It wouldn't hurt to be the half-Alpha's friend. A voice inside his head told him that he was just being his old sneaky self. He was only being nice because Jiyang cared about Zhan. If Xuan were good to the man, his kitten would be happy. If Jiyang was happy, Xuan could breathe easy. In the end, it was him being selfish but Xuan couldn't apologize for what he was. Zhan told Xuan where Jiyang was and even offered him something to eat but Xuan didn't have an appetite. He could only nod and as soon as Zhan was out of his sight, Xuan rushed towards the guest room.
