Two pairs of eyes turned to the door where Zhan stood smiling, Hedi's form supporting the part-Alpha. Yibo stood up immediately taking Zhan's hand from Hedi's giving his cousin an appreciative nod. "You should have called for me." "It's alright. Li Xiao said I should walk around a little. What are you guys talking about?"  Zhan settled on the couch letting out a deep breath. He felt bigger than a whale these days. "Someone's messing things up for me at my turf", lied Xize, and Zhan's eyes hardened. "Who's stupid enough to piss you off?" "For starters, you." Zhan laughed softly dropping a kiss to Yibo's head who sat on his knees before him. "You going to go with Xize?" Yibo gave a small nod running his hands down Zhan's lower back. "How's she doing today?", Xize asked stepping closer to the Alpha pair feeling his lips curve at the bright smile Zhan gave him. "Great." Xize requested permission from Zhan with his eyes making Zhan nod. The vampire had almost placed his hand on Zhan's belly when a feral growl tore from Yibo's throat. "Hey! I thought we were friends." "My friends keep their hands to themselves."

Zhan swatted Yibo's shoulder palming the Alpha's hand that settled on his belly. "Be honest, Yibo. This dragon has been saying bad things about me, right?" "There are no good things to say about you, fang boy. I am merely stating facts." "Then we are similar in more ways than one. It's been hard to find a single quality worth mentioning,  Omega." The vampire threw Zhan a mock glare but to his horror saw tears fill Zhan's eyes. "W-What? Hey! Don't cry!" Yibo snarled again pulling Zhan close and throwing Xize a look so venomous, the vamp was surprised he didn't drop dead the next moment. "Tell me, Yibo. I consider him s-such a good f-friend. Why doesn't he still l-like me?" The words were spoken between hiccups and every syllable had Xize sweating bullets. "Of course, he likes you, firecracker." Yibo glared at Xize silently telling him to repeat the words and Xize made the mistake of hesitating for only a moment making another tear escape Zhan's eye. "XIZE!"

"I like you, Zhan. Of course, I do. You are my only friend apart from Wang Yibo. I think you're great. You take care of Yibo so well. You're the best person for Yibo out there." "Really?", Zhan said with a sniffle and Xize nodded his head again. "Good, then my work here is done." As fast as the tears had come they were gone and unease flickered in Xize's eyes. Xize saw Zhan take his phone out of his pocket and fiddle it with for a moment. "What. Did. You. Do?" The part-Omega only smirked tapping on the screen. "I like you, Zhan. Of course, I do. You are my only friend apart from Wang Yibo. I think you're great. You take care of Yibo so well. You're the best person for Yibo out there."  The recording played and the smug look on Zhan's face had Xize scowling for real. "Aww, leech. Didn't know you loved me so much. I am going to treasure these words forever." A "pfft" left Yibo and the vampire could see the Lan Alpha's shoulders shaking with the force of his laughs. "He got you there, Xize", Yibo wheezed laughing like a gremlin. "I'll get back at you for this, Omega", threatened Wu Xize walking out of Yibo's study.

"You made my friend walk out on me", Yibo said laughing palming Zhan's face. "He'll come around since he likes me so much." Pressing their lips together, Yibo smiled again. "What were you guys really talking about?" "Nothing. Just taking some protective measures."  A look full of understanding fell on Zhan's features the part-Alpha's face losing its smile. "You can talk to me if anything worries you, Yibo."  The Lan Alpha pressed his lips to Zhan's hand shaking his head softly. "Nothing is worrying me.  I just don't want to make any mistakes until our peanut is born so, I am being extra careful."  "I am surprised someone is causing trouble after the cougar fiasco. That day was a nightmare on its own." Seeing the faraway look in Zhan's eyes Yibo gave Zhan a reprimanding look. "I've told you not to think of those things again. Believe me. No one is causing any trouble. Even the ones entertaining the thought of getting to you are going to vanish."  "Hedi said you have the rogues guarding the perimeter." Yibo cursed his loose-lipped cousin in his head. "Talk to me, Yibo." Letting out a sigh, Yibo sat comfortably before Zhan.
