Chapter 7

Austrailia, Sydney

1:50PM

Courtney's POV

I wonder how Justin's been doing? Is he alright? I hope so...

CREEEAK! My door was opened by Borko and Crystal.

"You alright, Courtney?" Crystal asked, concerned.

"Yeah, you've been in your room since yesterday. What's wrong?" Borko asked.

"I've been worried about Justin." I said, sinking into my crossed arms.

"Hey, come on now." Borko said, hugging me.

"We're here for you." Crystal hugged me too.

"I know, but..." Just as I was about to finish my sentence, there was an explosion.

KABOOOM!!!

"Whoa!" I yelled, as the explosion knocked us over.

"What caused that?!" Borko shouted, and stood up.

I stood up, alongside Crystal.

"Aah!!" I gripped my side.

"Courtney! What's wrong?" Borko knelt down, beside me.

"My side...." I looked there, and saw blood leaking through my suit.

"Stay still.' Crystal said. Her hand glowed a faint white, and pressed it against my side.

She took her hand away, and pulled a few shards of metal away.

"Looks like that explosion did this." She helped me up, and I looked at my wound. It's gone!

"Crystal! How did you?"

"I'll explain later. Com on!" She ran out the door.

"Let's go!" Borko said, following her.

I looked into the hole where the explosion came from, and heard a faint hiss.

I was just about to walk out, when a claw grabbed me!

"Let go!" I said, and stomped on its foot.

*SKREEEEEE!!* I covered my ears. Damn, that things loud. I turned around, and gasped at what I saw.

This.... skeleton thing has a suction cup for a face, and it also had claws.

"BORKO! CRYSTAL!" I screamed, before it tackled me.

"Get off!" I said, kicking its arm off me.

It then breathed out a sickly green gas. I began coughing as soon as I breathed some by mistake.

"Ahh! Gross!" I punched its chest, and kicked its head. It fell over, and ran back to the hole.

"Courtney? COURTNEY!" Crystal yelled from the hallway.

I coughed a few times, before I said "I'm ok."

"Are you sure? That... Thing.. I think I've seen it before... Wait!" Borko them went towards the hole, and looked inside.

"Did it spray you with gas?" He asked.

"Yeah. It did, and it was awful!" I stood up.

"That's the same monster that sprayed me! If it can dig underground.... Oh no..."

"What is it, Borko?"

"We have to get out if here!" He shouted, and picked both of us up.

"Borko? What the hell?!" Crystal shouted.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"We're going back outside. Its too dangerous here." He then kicked a door down, and put us down as well.

*SKREEEEEEE!!!!!!!!* The screech came from the hallway, along with others. Next thing we knew, we could hear a stampede.

"Come on!" Borko said, as we went through the exit. When we reached the top of the ladder, he closed the hatch and bent the handle.

"That should hold them."

Tokyo, Japan

10:50AM

Justin's POV

Yuuki and I have made it at least halfway through to the docks. Right now, we're taking out a few bandits.

"RRAGH!!" I roared, and slashed down, splitting a bandit's head in two. Blood splattered, as his lifeless body fell to the ground with a THUD!

Yuuki fired a few rounds of her pistol, and took out three bandits. Each of them had a hole in between their eyes.

I took out my pistol, and emptied my clip. I unloaded the clip, and put a new one in. I saw another bandit charge towards me, and I slashed his torso.

"If this keeps up, we'll never get to the docks!" I shouted, and kicked a bandit's face. He toppled over, and knocked a few of his friends over.

"Well, we better hurry!" Yuuki shouted, and hit a bandit with the handle of her gun.

I stepped on a bandit's head, leaped over the group, landed, and began running.

Yuuki came beside me shortly, running as well.

"There's no end to them, huh?" She asked, as we turned left.

"Yeah!" I knocked a trash bin over, and looked back. Some of them fell over, and most of them kept chasing us.

"Get back here, ya little runts!" One of them shouted.

"Man, these guys are not gonna give up!" Yuuki said, as we climbed over a fence.

"Well, you did kill their leader, after all." I stated.

"How was I supposed to know that?! The guy was only three feet tall!" She said, a little angry.

"Well, we can't help it now! Wall!!" I pointed forward. I jumped, and stabbed my sword into the wall. Yuuki jumped, and grabbed my hand. I swung her over, and she helped me get over it.

"There!" Yuuki said, as I got up. I looked to where she was pointing, and gasped when I saw it.

A boat!!!

I grabbed her hand and started running. "Whoa!" She yelled, surprised.

"It's only a few blocks away! Come on!" I picked her up, bridal style, and ran even faster than before.

I clicked my boots together, and wheels popped out of the bottom.

"Since when did you have those?" Yuuki asked.

"Before I even got here." I replied. "Now, hang on tight! I'm gonna go even faster now!"

And sure enough, we were speeding down the road.

In 5 minutes, we made it to the boat.

I stopped myself, and clicked my boots together. The wheels went back in. I put Yuuki down, and went into the boat with her.

When we were inside, I said "This boat is big enough for a small town!"

"Yeah.... about that." Yuuki pressed a few buttons, and then people began filling the room. I felt confused. "What's going on?"

Yuuki turned, faced me and said

"Welcome to the Anti-Nuclear Resistance."
