The Ocean...

Upper Deck of The Revolution

9:30 AM

Justin's POV

Man, this feels great! Being outside, in the middle of the ocean. I love it. The cool breeze.... the warm sun... nothing could dampen my good mood. I breathed in the fresh ocean air, and noticed a slight difference in scent. I smelled a hint of.... oil. Now that I think about it, I could also hear shouting in the distance.

I heard:

"WOOOOHOO! Lets get 'em boys!" A gruff voice said, along with other men and women firing off guns, yelling, and cursing away. I looked over the railing to see a few hundred small boats and jet skis, attacking our ship.

I grinned, and grabbed a nearby rocket launcher, and aimed it towards them. I pulled the trigger, and watched the fireworks.

*KABOOOM!!!!*

Most of them were either killed by the explosion, or they were attacked by the sharks that smelled their blood from the water. One survivor went under, and a pool of blood could be seen, signalling his death. I placed the rocket launcher down, and stretched my arms towards the sky. "Yup, just a couple of hours until I reach Austrailia." I sat on a nearby crate, and relaxed for a bit. I was just about to take a nap, until someone jumped onto my lap.

"Oof!" I said, as my unmentionables were crushed.

"Hi, Justin!" Yun said, as she hugged me. "Hey, Yun." I said, sweat dropping.

"Why are you out here by yourself? Aren't you lonely?" She asked, looking into my eyes. I looked back at her, and gave her a closed eye smile. "No. I'm just enjoying the scenery. I'm also relaxing a bit."

"Oh, well I wanted to tell you that a few of us are having a little fighting tournament. Did you want to join us?" She asked hopefully.

"Yeah, I guess so. I need the exercise." I let Yun stand up, and I stood up after her. I followed her inside. "Oh! And just so you know, all the best fighters are going to participate." I mentally facepalmed, and thought 'Well, that's fan-fudging-tastic!'

She opened the door, and I noticed that her hand changed colour. Her shiny, bronze hand was just about to open the door, when I took a hold of it, and examined it.

"W-what are you doing?!" She exclaimed, blushing as red as a tomato. I pressed her hand against mine, as it went silver, and held her bronze hand.

"We are the same, after all." I said, giving her a warm smile. She smiled, and held my hand tighter. She then shook her head, and went back to opening the door. She did so, and lead me in.

"Where are you taking me?" I asked.

"To the lower decks. That's where the tournament's being held." She opened a hatch that lead downwards. I held it open for her, and said "Ladies first." She giggled, and began climbing down. After she was far down enough, I began descending the ladder as well. I closed the hatch behind me.

After climbing down, we were in a hallway that had two pathways. Left, or right.

"This way." She said, pointing left. "The other path leads to the infirmary. Man, this boat(or should I say, tanker) is much bigger than I anticipated.

She opened the door, and various noises could be heard. Weapons being struck, fists meeting a face, cries of pain, and chatting.

"Welcome to our Tournament of Powers." Yun said, waving her arm towards a terminal, which showed various names. I looked for my name. I eventually found it, and looked at the name underneath it.

'Yun Hakashi.' My eyes widened, as I looked over at Yun, who was grinning, and trying to hold back a laugh. She burst out laughing for a few minutes, and finished by wiping her eye. "I want to make a bet with you." She said, suddenly serious.

"If I win, you have to break up with Yuuki, and be MY boyfriend. And if I lose, you get to stay with Yuuki, and I won't bother you about being with me, deal?"

I said, "Let me think about it." I placed my hand on my chin, and thought 'If I win, she'll leave me alone, and I lose, well, bye bye Yuuki.' I shook her hand, and said "Deal." We both shook hands and made our way down.

A woman with purple hair, and a red slit dress appeared in the middle of the stage, with a mic. "Ladies and Gentlenen, welcome to our Third Annual Tournament of Powers!!" The crowd cheered, and clapping, along with whistles, and stomping feet could be heard throughout the arena.

"There are only three rules to this tournament. Number # 1: You must NEVER kill your opponent. Number # 2: You MUST make a bet before your round starts. And finally Rule Number # 3: If your opponent does not have a weapon, you HAVE to use your powers, whatever they may be. Now, let's get ready to RUMBLLLLE!!"

"This is our first Quarterfinal Round. In the left side, we have a newcomer. Weighing in at 175 lbs reaching 6 feet tall, hails from Winnipeg, Manitoba. The Steel Fisted Man, the Breaker of Blades, Justiiiin Wiillliaaaams!" I jumped onto the stage, and waved to the crowd.

On the other side, we have a Arena Virgin! Weighing in at 120 lbs, reaches 5 feet 6 inches, hails from Okinawa, Japan. A fighter who nay be bronze, but is worth gold! Yuuuun Hakaaaashiiiiiii!" The crowd cheered, as she appeared onto the stage, blowing kisses to the crowd.

"Our referee today is Jin Hakashi. He will handle things when they get out of hands."

"Are you both ready?" Jin asked us. I nodded. Yun nodded.

"Begin!" And with that, we charged at each other, launching a flurry of attacks.

I began punching and kicking, but Yun blocked them, and tried kicking me. I grabbed it, and knocked her over. She performed a handspring, and punched my face. I stepped back, preventing her from hurting me, and put her arm into a lock.

"AAAGH!" She yelped, as I twisted it.

"Give up?" I asked.

"Never!" Her skin went bronze, and she got out of the lock. She stood up, and shoved me. My skin changed to silver, and I went into a boxing stance.

"HYAA!" Yun yelled, as she began kicking me rapidly. I blocked them, and punched her gut.

"Guh!" She spat. I punched the middle of her chest, and she fell to her knees, gasping.

"Now?" I asked, standing over her.

She raised her hand, and tapped the ground three times. "Yun has given up. Justin wins this round!" Jin announced.

The crowd cheered wildly, as I stood straight. I raised my hands and yelled "YEAH!!"

Meanwhile.....

The V.I.P. section of the arena.....

"This young man shows much promise, Yuuki." A seated man said, looking towards Yuuki, who stood beside him.

"Yes. He does. He should, since he is a trained martial artist, and a champion sword-fighter." She said.

"Hmm. Then that means he has much experience. Excellent. You were wise to bring him here. You may leave, Yuuki."

"Yes, sir." She bowed, and left the room.

"Hmm, so this young man is a my only successor after all..... " The seated man smiled.
