Okay, today I'm in my boyfriend's home town. I'm getting some inspiration because this is my last week off. I'm so sad about it but I'm excited to keep writing!

I remember the summer before my first year in college. Our last day was one I never wanted to remember. The thought of it was painful to think of.
We woke up with the fresh scent of sea salt. Our hair was entangled and damp from the night's dip. I woke up to the closeness of his lips. Slightly peeling from the burn of the sun. His eyes were droopy, reminding me of his boyish features. That he will grow into someone else. When his jaw will be sharper his cheekbones are more prominent. He will be a new Galen that I may never know.
"Good morning flower," He says as he holds me in closer. His arms circle me, bringing me in securely not ready to let me go. "We're in a tent on the beach what are we doing?" I say trying to lighten the mood for the day to come. "Hey you may find this funny but I thought it was romantic, look" He points to the sun slowly rising from the horizon. My body shivers as I escape from his arms. I leave the deep green tent and look out to see the view clearer. My eyes dampen for so many reasons. I feel his hand rub along the curves of my back. Up and down left and right. I look over to see all of Galen. His face was damp and his eyes blue and so so beautiful. His glassy eyes reflected mine. We were no longer looking at the glow of the sun. It's morning rhythmic blaze and rise.
"I love you Daisy, I know you don't want to hear that. I tried, I really did try every day not to think of you. Not to memorize your Chipotle order and not to soak in the smell of you. Not to go to sleep constantly replaying every moment I had with you. Every time you smile at me my composure is gone I'm a wreck, look at me I'm a wreck. I'm constantly envious of your thoughts. I tried not to love you but I can't. I don't think I'll ever get over you."
Galen's tears fall and splash down the tips of his nose and cheeks. His proclamation ends with hiccups and intensity. I don't know what to do this is all too much, we're just eighteen. I rush to the tent quickly grabbing my clothes and blankets.
"Galen I don't think you know what you're saying. I get that you love me but that love will go away. And you'll find a cute girl that stays here and you'll take her to the beach and give her back rubs and you'll forget all about the scent of me!" I say as I shove my jacket into my backpack.
"Daisy," He grabs my hand gently "Daisy" He pleads forcing me to see Galen. His eyes brimming red and overflowing "I can't just forget"
Every memory racing through my head of the past year with Galen is painful. Our first kiss, prom, coffee dates, and beach picnics. All of it circled my mind the lump in my throat growing. I know this is just temporary. I know long distance doesn't work when it comes to my dreams. It's two loves and I have to choose.
"I love you Galen" His hands tremble as we embrace. He looks down at me with tearful joy in his eyes. We kiss until the sting in my throat melts. My cheeks pressed against his. Our tears create their waves. Our youth was one to cherish, and we knew this moment was one of the last to hold onto. Feeling the blaze of the sun melting away our worries and fears. His lips hungered for validation. Strapping me in and pleading for me to stay. His desperate touch was like a chain.
"I love you but I can't choose only you" I break away in a zombie-like way. Not sure if I believed my voice. The shakiness didn't fool my delivery. He stares at me in acceptance and hurt. Another tear falls on my cheek. This one wasn't mine, but a reminder of his gravity.
"I know"

Okay, this was fun this was steamy okay okay. I hate to admit it but I am using Cam as my Galen Muse. Idk I just love that boy. Anyways, I'll try to get another part out later tonight.
