Izzy turned in the adoption papers then took the kids home. The judge had told her it would be about 2 weeks before the adoptions would be processed and another month before they were official.
"MOMMY!" Logan screamed. Izzy ran upstairs to his room.
"What happened?" She asked worriedly. As far as she could tell he wasn't hurt.
"I want to go outside." Logan said. Izzy sighed.
"You scared mommy." She said. "I'll take you all outside after dinner." Logan nodded and hugged her.
"I love you mommy." He said. Izzy hugged him back then kissed the top of his head.
"I love you too." She said then she went back downstairs and started preparing dinner. When dinner was done, she called for the boys to come eat.
"I don't like this." Blake said staring at his plate. Izzy sighed. What child doesn't like chicken, mashed potatoes and corn?
"What don't you like?" She asked. Blake pointed at the chicken. Logan started laughing.
"Blakey only eats veggies." He said. Izzy sighed and took the chicken off of Blake's plate.
"Do you want me to make you a salad Blake?" She asked. Blake nodded. Izzy made him a salad. "Do you want ranch or french dressing?"
"Ranch." Blake said. Izzy put ranch on the salad, mixed it up and gave it to him. "Thank you mommy." After everyone was done eating, Izzy took the kids outside. She let them play for an hour then she took the twins inside, gave them their bath and put them to bed. She called for Logan and Blake to come take their bath and get ready for bed.
"Mommy?" Logan asked after he was in bed. "Will you read me a bedtime story?" Izzy nodded.
"What story?" She asked. Logan got out of bed and grabbed a book of the shelf.
"This one." He said. The cover read The Big Collection of Little Golden Books. Izzy took it and opened it to the first story. She read the story, tucked the boys in and left the room. A few minutes later she heard Blake scream. She ran up the stairs and found Blake sitting in middle of his bed crying.
"Blakey baby." She said softly picking him up. "What's wrong?" Blake clung to her crying.
"Mommy don't let them take me." He said through tears. Izzy held him close.
"I won't let anyone take you or your brothers and sister away from me." She told him.
"Can I sleep with you?" Blake asked.
"Not tonight but I'll stay with you until you fall asleep." Izzy told him. Blake hugged her and laid back down. After about an hour and a half he was finally back to sleep. Izzy carefully got up and left the room.
The next morning she got a phone call from the orphanage. It was Mrs. Graham. She answered the phone.
"Hello?" She asked. On the other end of the phone Mrs. Graham explained to her that there was a little boy there who really needed a home and she was wondering if Izzy would be interested. Izzy asked for the boy's information and told Mrs. Graham she'd have to ask the boys. Mrs. Graham said ok and hung up.
