When they got home, Izzy sent the kids to wash up and get ready for dinner. After dinner, she gave the kids their baths and put them to bed then she pulled the piece of paper with Knox's phone number on it and called him. Knox answered on the second ring.
"Hello?" Izzy asked. Knox answered on the other end of the phone and Izzy smiled. They talked for over an hour and made plans to go out to dinner the following day. They hung up the phone after a while and Izzy thought to herself, this could be good for me and the kids.
The next day Lakelyn came running into Izzy's room.
"MOMMY!" She yelled. Izzy jumped up.
"Are you ok?" She asked worriedly. Lakelyn nodded.
"I happy. Blakey said we getting a new daddy today." She said. Izzy sighed. How did Blake know? Did he hear something when he should have been sleeping?
"Go get your brothers and sisters." Izzy told Lakelyn. Lakelyn nodded and went to get her siblings. A moment later, all the kids ran into Izzy's room.
"Are we in trouble?" Logan asked.
"No baby. Mommy just needs to talk to you." Izzy said. The kids nodded. "You remember Mr. Knox and Crew from the park?"
"Yes." Logan said.
"Well mommy has a date with Mr. Knox in a few hours." Izzy said.
"Is he going to be our daddy?" Addie asked.
"I won't promise you anything but if things go well it's possible that mommy and Mr. Knox could date more often and maybe one day he could be your daddy." Izzy said. "Just remember that no matter what I love all of you more than anything in the world."
A few hours later, Izzy dropped the kids off at the babysitter and got ready for her date. Knox picked her up precisely at 8pm and they went to dinner then a movie.
"My little ones asked about you." Izzy told Knox on the ride home. Knox smiled.
"Oh really?" He asked. "Like what?"
"If your going to be their new daddy." Izzy said softly looking down. Knox chuckled.
"Did they like me that much?" He asked.
"Apparently they did." Izzy said. They pulled into Izzy's driveway a few minutes later. "I had a great time tonight."
"So did I." Knox said. He leaned over and softly kissed her. Izzy smiled and quickly kissed him back before stepping out of the car and getting in the van to go get the kids from the babysitter.
"Mommy? Are we getting a new daddy?" Logan asked as Izzy was buckling him into his seat.
"I don't know baby." Izzy said. She finished buckling the kids into their seats and headed home.
"Mama?" Brycen asked.
"Yes baby?" Izzy asked him.
"We get nuggies and fries?" Brycen asked. Izzy nodded.
"Of course we can." She said. She drove to the nearest McDonald's and took all the kids inside and ordered 8 chicken nugget happy meals with extra fries and apple juice she also ordered a big Mac, McChicken, fries and a coke for herself. After they ate, she loaded the kids into their seats and headed home. When they got home, Izzy put on a movie for the kids and pulled out her phone to text Knox.
I: Had a great time tonight. We should do it again soon ❤️
K: Me too. How about next weekend?
I: I'm good for next weekend. 8pm?
K: 8 works. See you then.
I: See you then❤️
She put her phone away and went to the living room to watch the movie with the kids. After the movie she put the kids to bed and then went to clean up before heading to bed herself.
