A few hours later, Izzy put the kids to bed and went downstairs to clean up. A little while later, Logan and Lakelyn came running down the stairs.
"Mommy?" They both asked crying.
"Why don't we have a daddy?" Logan asked through tears. Izzy stood frozen not sure how to respond.
"Mommy has to do something but I will explain everything to you soon." Izzy told them. She sent them back upstairs to play and called Mrs. Graham to ask for advice on what to do. Mrs. Graham told her to do what she thought was best. Izzy thanked her and hung up. She went upstairs to get Braxtyn and Lily and told the other kids to go sit in the living room. She followed the kids downstairs to the living room, put the twins in their high chairs and sat down.
"Mommy, are we in trouble?" Blake asked.
"No baby." Izzy told him. "Mommy just needs to talk to you." The kids all sat down and looked at her.
"Mommy?" Logan asked. "Are we gonna get a daddy?" Izzy sighed.
"You know mommy loves all of you right?" She asked them. The kids nodded. "Well mommy was dating a man named Graysin but when I told him that I wanted to adopt Blake and Logan, he left and I haven't seen him since."
"It's my fault we don't have a daddy." Logan said. He started crying. Izzy picked him up and held him.
"No baby." She told him. "He just wasn't ready to be a daddy." The kids nodded and hugged her.
"We love you mommy." Blake said. Izzy smiled. She loved her babies more than anything in the world.
"How about we go to the park?" Izzy asked them. The kids all jumped up excitedly. "Go put your shoes on and help the babies with their shoes." The kids all got ready and Izzy loaded them in the van then took them to the park. While watching her babies play, she noticed a little boy playing next to but not with Logan and Lakelyn. She looked around to see if she could find his parents. When she didn't see anyone, she walked over to him. "Hey buddy, where's your mommy?"
"I don't have a mommy. Just a daddy." The little boy said. He pointed to a bench next to the swing set. "Right there." Izzy smiled and walked over to the man.
"Hi." She said. "I'm Izzy." The man looked at her and smiled.
"I'm Knox." The man said. He pointed to the little boy. "That's Crew." Izzy smiled.
"LOGAN, BLAKE, LAKELYN, BRYCEN, ADDILYN, JAYNA." She called. The kids ran over. "These are my littles. Braxtyn and Lily are in the stroller napping." She pointed to each kid and had them introduce themselves. Knox smiled.
"It's nice to meet all of you." He said. "Crew has a little brother but he's sick so he had to stay with a babysitter. His name is Cash." Izzy smiled.
"Well it was nice to meet you both. Hopefully we can meet Cash soon." She said. "I have to get them home and fed." Knox nodded and handed her a piece of paper.
"Let's have dinner sometime." He said. Izzy nodded.
"I'll call you." She said then she took the kids to the van and left.
