Running To You

You run all the way to the chateau and knock on the door. You're really nervous and thinking if this is what you should do, but a thought crosses your mind and puts all your worries on pause. The name of that thought: Jj Maybank

"Hey " John b opens the door

"What are you doing here? " you ask as you we're expecting to see Jj opening the door

"Where? In my house? " he says sarcastically "Anyway, Jj told me to give you the rest of your stuff if you stopped by.. "

"Where's Jj? " you ask decisively

"I don't know, he left " he shrugs "Look, do you want your stuff back, or no? "

You look away for a second and then back at John b "No, thanks " you say and run away leaving John b sitting there confused

You run at a very particular spot at the beach. The same spot you first met, the same spot he gave you the ring, and now the spot you found him laying down after he gave you your stuff back.

"Hey " you walk closer from behind. You'd recognize that blonde messy hair anywhere

"Y/n? " he immediately recognised your voice and stood up "What are you doing here? "

"I was.. looking for you, actually.. " you walk up to him and now you're facing him

"How did you know I was here? " he looks at you up and down

"I had a feeling.. " you take a step closer to him

"If you want your stuff- " he tries to say but you cut him off

"I'm not here for that " you feel your heart beating faster the more you talk, but at least it feels right "I told you, I'm here for you " you take one last step closer holding eye contact

~Jj's Pov~

"I told you, I'm here for you " Jj just stands there staring at the girl, unable to form a sentence for a second

"W-Why? " Jj takes a step back "What are you doing, y/n? "

"I just.. " y/n looks away saying that "I miss you "

The boy's hand starts shaking. He misses her, too. But there was a reason he did what he did "Don't say that "

"I know, I know I shouldn't say that after what happened, but it's true, jayj.. I miss you so fucking much! "

"Don't do this, y/n. Don't talk to me about who misses who the most. You don't wanna go there" Jj says and places his hand on his chest to stop it from shaking and tries to leave

"Maybe I do wanna go there " the girl stops him from walking any further "Look, I'll walk away if that's what you want me to do " she says and Jj keeps staring at her in the eyes breathing heavily "I'll never talk to you again, if that's what you want me to do " she starts tearing up "But first just tell me that you don't love me anymore "

"What? " Jj says still holding eye contact

"Say it! " she takes one more step closer "Just four little words and I'm gone " she tries to steady her voice "But I'm not leaving until I hear you say it- "

"I CAN'T SAY IT! " he comes closer running his hands through his hair "I can't say it, okay? " he tries to lower his voice

The girl stays silent for a second, staring at the upset boy "Then why are you acting like this, Jayj? " she asks with a soft voice

"Because! " he raises his voice once again as he starts to tear up "Because.. I'm not what you need.. " he tries to calm down "It would all blow up, anyway at some point.. " the boy sits down on the sand holding his face in his hands "Believe me, I'm not the person you wanna be with,
y/n " he looks up at the girl with his blue eyes
