Keith pov god damn it. I hated when me and Lance worked together during missions, not because I hated him though. That was way far from the truth, in all honesty i loved him deeply. I just couldn't tell him that because he was set on us being rivals which i would admit was cute at first but now it's getting in the way of me telling him. He always interrupts me and starts going on and on about how he's gonna beat me in 'so many ways'.

I was training for an upcoming mission we were gonna do later this week which I of course have to buddy up with Lance. This will be fun for the both of us.

Lance pov: I was forced into this mission by Shiro, and I had to work with Keith, it's not like I hate him though. Me and Keith aren't even real rivals, I just said that to hide my feelings for him for obvious reasons. There's no way in hell he'd actually reciprocate those feelings, and there's no way we'd work well together anyway. After all the bickering we do with each other, even after those bonding moments (that never really happened..) we just wouldn't work. It'd be constant fighting more than likely.

Me and Keith are currently looking for an energy beam for some perdhane people. (Per-dain) I don't trust them at all though, who knows why they need it. "Lance I already know what you're thinking about" how the hell..? I looked over my shoulder at Keith with a frown and respond "they definitely can't be trusted Keith! We've never even heard of them before! Not even Allura or Coran know them!!" I move my arms in an expressive manner to make my point. He rolled his eyes at me in what I assumed was aggravation. While searching for the energy beam Keith gets attacked by some giant lizard looking thing!

Narrator pov : Keith lands face first onto the ground and has a gash on his head, the beating of his heart blocks out all other sounds. "Ke....ith.....ca....y..." he wasn't sure who was speaking and felt himself coughing up blood. 'What's the point on avoiding it' he thought to himself while letting his eyes shut close. This was gonna be the end of everything.

Lance held Keith close to his shoulder and carried him bridal style back to blue and red. Keith had little time left before it would be too late to save him. But Lance wouldn't let him go that easy, not before they could make amends and definitely not before he had the chance to tell him how he felt. "Keith we're almost there! I'm not letting you die" Keith still couldn't understand what was happening and felt the life inside him start to fade.

Lance carried him all the way to a healing pod ignoring all questions from Shiro and the others. "Lance! Why is Keith so hurt?! Why didn't you guys ask for help!" He couldn't even comprehend what he was saying as he waited for Keith to get healed, he stayed by the pod for weeks and was starting to think maybe it was too late. But, Keith eventually fell out of the pod into Lance's arms, lance held onto him in a tight hug while speaking to him. "KEITH! I THOUGHT I LOST YOU FOREVER! IM SO SORRY ABOUT EVERYTHING I PROMISE I NEVER MEANT ANY OF THE SHIT I TOLD YOU BEFORE! IN ALL HONESTY I ADMIRE YOU AND YOUR DUMBASS MULLET!" Keith blinked a few times in surprise and reluctantly hugged him back, "Lance? It's okay I forgive you...but honestly I owe you an apology too!" Keith gave him an apologetic tone and hugged him tighter, "I shouldn't be a jerk to you either! Especially since..." he cuts himself off and looks away from Lance before sighing with a slightly different expression. "Since we're supposed to be teammates and friends..." they both didn't realize it but them referring each other as anything in that lighting hurt them both. They eventually realized they've been hugging for way too long and let go of each other.
"Uhm..." Lance chuckled softly in embarrassment and Keith quickly followed him in his fit of laughter. "I'm just glad you're okay samurai..."
