After All This Time

The day of Aleah's discharge came and Severus helped her to get home.

Aleah cleared everything up to her family and friends, that everything with Severus is fine now. Her angel may be gone, but she thought that maybe it wasn't the right time for her and Severus to have her. Aleah sometimes feel sad and empty from the loss of her child and Severus is there to comfort her and lift her mood again.

Severus will never let go of Aleah, ever again. He'll hold her for as long as she needs him to hold her, he'll be there for her in times that she wants him to and in times that she doesn't, he'll prove her worthy of her love and as a father to their child, Selene.

Sirius and Aleah's friends we're all happy and relieved to know that everything is fine now.

Arriving at their home, Severus helped Aleah to her bedroom so that she could take a rest.

"Severus?", Aleah called out

Severus rushed to her side, "Yes love?", he asked

"Stay with me.", she said, grabbing her hand and nuzzled on it

Severus laid himself into her bed and snuggled her close. Aleah let out her tears and Severus noticed,

"I'm sorry Severus.", she sobbed

"I'm so sorry Aleah", he said and caress her back and her hair, he knows she is having a breakdown about their unborn child again.

Aleah just hugged Severus tight and cried, after a while she fell asleep.

After hours of sleep, Aleah woke up and noticed that Severus wasn't there beside her, she quickly rushed downstairs to find him

"SURPRISE!", they all cheered, the Lupins are there, Draco and Narcissa, Minerva and Albus, her dad Sirius and in front is her lover, Severus with Selene.

Severus went to her and grabbed her hand

"Surprise," he said and kissed her lips

Aleah was so happy to witness that moment, when she woke up and noticed that Severus was not by her side, she was afraid.

Severus planned this out when they were just at St. Mungo's. He wants Aleah to forget about the past hurtful happenings by this gathering for even just a little.

They shared dinner with their close friends, the house is full of laughter and joy.

After the dinner, everyone was gathered at the sitting room to continue their talking and laughing when suddenly Severus cleared her throat a little loud for everyone to stop at what they're doing and look at him

"This might not be what I always pictured myself into but,", he paused and looked for Aleah, "For the love of my life,", locking eyes with her, "I would forever be grateful to your kind heart, for giving Selene and for giving me the chance to be a father to her, I deeply regret what had happened before with Anne, I was a fool and will always be if I would let you slip away again.", he paused

Severus walked towards Aleah, he offered his hand to her and Aleah took it. Severus helped her up and went down on one knee, there were sharp intake of breaths in the room and Aleah felt her tears streaming down her face

"Miss Black, I don't want to make the same mistake of loosening my grip on your hand again,", he paused, not leaving her eyes.

"Fool and weak I may have been, but all I know is that I have loved no one this much, but you. Will you do me the honor of being my wife? For I do not wish to be parted from you on this day forward and that it is you I only intend to marry."

Severus hand went to his back pocket and retrieved a black box, he opened it and presented a pear shaped diamond ring to her. Aleah quickly kissed Severus and helped him up his feet, she backed away and smiled at him,

"Oh Severus, yes! A million times yes!", she answered and they kissed again.

Roar of cheers erupted in the house. Severus slipped the ring on Aleah's ring finger and kissed her again.
