Every since Diego came back he's been seeing you 3 times a week now. He avoids making any remarks towards you because he knows you'll kick him out and for good this time.
The therapy sessions aren't awkward or anything as one of you is always making small talk to fill the silence. Occasionally when you'd make him do an exercise he didn't like he'd say he hated you, but that was normal. Overall everything has been flowing pretty well.
Today was actually his last day of rehab. You decided to tell him that until he started his last exercise.
"Hey so after this exercise you're officially done and can go back to playing" you said.
"FINALLY, it's about time. I can finally go back to seeing all the beautiful women that love me, I know they've missed me" he said while running his fingers through his hair.
"No one misses you, trust me"
"You're just salty because you have nobody y/n"
"Mhm sure believe what you want"
"It's true, me on the other hand too many girls like me, it's kinda hard to manage"
"Cool I don't care" you responded
"I feel bad sometimes because I can't be with all of them and I know they love me, sometimes they're crazy but-"
"Diego, Im not your therapist"
"But you are?"
"I'm your physical therapist not your emotional therapist"
"Fine then"
A bit later he finally finished his last exercise.
"Well Diego you're officially done"
"POR FIN, Im gonna go celebrate after with Edson and Kevin. Actually you should come too"
"Nah I'm good"
"Psh Que aburrida eres" he responded
"Fine I'll go, I have to go home with Edson anyways"
He smiled and left out the door to head down where the team was practicing to join them.
"Ayy guess who's back" he said with a smirk and open arms.
"It's about time" Edson said
"After practice we have to go celebrate, I also invited your sister"
"Y ese milagro, i thought you hated her" kevin said with a puzzled face
"Ya que traes con mi hermana" Edson followed up
"No nada nada I swear, I was trying to be nice" Diego said putting his hands up in defense.
"I'm just playing chaparro, pero si we have to celebrate" Edson said
They continued their practices and then scrimmaged each other at the end. While they were practicing you cleaned up your area and then headed to the field to watch.
They were later done with practice by 8pm and the four of you headed to the parking lot together. You guys decided to all go in Edsons car.
"Entonces a donde vamos"
"We should go to that one restaurant that's opened 24 hours, it has good food and beer" Diego said
"Pues vamos"
The restaurant was 30 minutes away and during the ride they were blasting music and screaming their lungs out. You were trying to ignore them by looking out the window.
"Ándale y/n loosen up, you gotta sing too" Kevin said to you.
"I'm good"
"I told you, eres aburrida y agua fiestas" Diego said
"Tu cállate" you snapped back
He didn't say anything back. You guys then finally got there to the restaurant and went inside and got seated at a both. You sat next to Kevin since Edson and Diego wanted to sit with each other.
"Okay what're you guys ordering" you asked
"3 cervezas" Diego responded
You looked up from the menu to give him a surprised look.
"What we came here to celebrate or no?" He responded again.
"You do you I guess"
When the waiter came by everyone ordered some food and the guys ordered some beer while you ordered a piña colada. Everyone chatted and made jokes while you guys were waiting for your food.
When the food and drinks arrived everyone got down to eating and drinking. The guys kept drinking beer, asking for more and more.
You checked the time and it was 1:30, you guys had
Been there for 5 hours. Diego and Edson were so out of it that they weren't even speaking right. Kevin on the other hand was tipsy but could comprehend things.
You decided it was time to go since it was getting late but you guys still had to pay. You got the bill from the waiter and it was a good amount.
"Diego where's your wallet at?"
He was slumped on the table and got up
"Huhhh my wallet, I don't know that's a good question... hmm maybe it's at my house... actually it's right here in my pocket, why would you want it, do you wanna by yourself something?"
"Yes of coarse" you responded
"Awww okay here you go, anything for you" he said with a smile and then slumping his head back on the table.
Diego sure is sweet and talkative when he's drunk
You paid the bill and now had to deal with how to get Diego and Edson to the car without them smacking flat on the ground.
"Ay Kevin ayúdame con Edson and I'll get Diego"
You slumped Diego's arm around you and walked outside, Kevin following with Edson hanging around him. Diego wasn't too much taller than you but he was heavier and he almost made you walk in the way out.
"A donthde vamoshhshv" diego was slurring his words at this point. You ignored him and continued walking out.
You got to the car and opened it, letting Diego fall to the floor of the car. You pushed him in some more and he was good to go laying there. Kevin then went and piled Edson on top of Diego.
"Good work Kevin" you said to him as he responded with a thumbs up. You both got in the car and were ready to leave.
