You can Run but You can't Hide

Chapter 4: Haunted House

Once they were there, they got out of the car and headed over to pay for the tickets for the haunted houses. "I love everything horror. I'm excited." Kalani said holding Caleb's hand. "Me too, I love getting scared," I said. "Welp let's go then," Louis said as they all walked in.
"Are we all going together? Or are we splitting up into different houses?" I said. Louis suggested splitting into two groups. "Works for me," Lucille said. "Okay, so how about, Caleb, Kalani, and Lucille go together and Ethan, Lexi, Louis and I go together?" I suggested. Everyone was fine with that. We all split up and headed over to different haunted houses. My group was going over to a clown funhouse meanwhile Caleb's group was going to "The Purge" house. I was in the middle of the group holding Louis' hand. Even though I love being scared it doesn't mean I wasn't nervous. "I bet this won't even be scary," Ethan said. Lexi laughed knowingly Ethan was gonna be the one screaming the most. We walked into the fun house looking at all the warped mirrors and fog. Bright lights and clowns laughing in the distance. All of a sudden a clown with red hair and neon makeup ran out with a chainsaw and Ethan screamed like a little girl. A girl was screaming and telling us to escape before it was too late. A clown with black and white hair, makeup, and an outfit came out from behind a mannequin tilting his head at us. I leaned away from him grabbing Louis' arm. The walls were covered in neon graffiti of clowns and balloons. In this the next room they passed, there were clown mannequins everywhere. I couldn't tell who was real and who were mannequins. We got to a platform where the walls were spinning and we were walking a sort of bridge. Two clowns came out from behind us, one had a bay and one had a chainsaw. When Lexi turned around and saw them, she started running quickly out through the maze and they chased after her. The lights were flashing and that was it, we were out of the attraction. When we got out we found Lexi with teary eyes bent over. "I can't do this. They literally ran after me." "Ethan I thought u said it wasn't gonna be scary," Louis said teasingly. "Shut up," Ethan responded.
A scare actor dressed up like Jason was standing behind me holding an ax. Louis took a picture and told me to turn around. When j turned around, I jumped and ran to Louis hugging him and covering my face. The girl laughed and walked away. "Can we get something to eat so I can calm down before going to the next house?" Lexi said. We nodded and searched for a place we could eat. We found a stand that sold ice cream, pretzels, hotdogs, chicken tenders with fries, cotton candy, and popcorn. Lexi got a big salty pretzel with cheese dip, Ethan and Louis got a Kosher hotdog with ketchup, and I got a pretzel with chicken tenders with fries. I was so hungry and I couldn't pass up on pretzels. The next attraction we were going to was "Halloween." As I said earlier, I hate masks. This was the one place that was full of people in masks. As we walked into the attraction, we heard the Halloween theme song place. A girl was running around screaming telling us to get out before it was too late. I held on to Louis. "I'm scared," I whispered so the scare actors wouldn't hear me. "Don't worry. It's all fake and I wouldn't let anything happen to you." He said holding me close. Ethan was walking closely behind us. Micheal Myers popped out holding a knife and he raised his arms acting like he was going to stab us. Flashing lights everywhere it was getting hard to see. Suddenly the lights go out and the scare actors get confused. "This is a part of the attraction right?" Ethan said confused. A person wearing all black wearing a Micheal Myers mask walks up to Ethan and Ethan screams but calms down seeing as the scare actor was just standing there. "Jesus. Scared the shit outta me. Are the lights gonna come back on or-" Ethan got cut off when he felt a huge ache in his stomach. He looked down screaming noticing that he just got stabbed by the supposedly scare actor. The person kicked Ethan and raised his knife to stab him again. Ethan grabbed the killer's wrist trying to stop them from stabbing him. Ethan used his other hand to punch the killer. The killer's mask went flying but it was too dark to tell who was the killer. The killer pushed Ethan to the ground. Ethan went to get up but the killer stomped on his leg, breaking his ankle. Ethan screamed out in pain. The killer stabbed him in the chest multiple times. "Ethan?!" Lexi yelled out. The lights were coming back on and the killer ran and left before anyone could notice. Ethan had blood coming out of his mouth. He turned his body over coughing out the blood. We ran over to him and the scare actors were standing there shocked and terrified. The park was closing down due to this. "Someone call 911!" I yelled. A few minutes later the police and ambulance were on their way here. People were huddled up around trying to see what had happened. They took Ethan on a stretcher and into the ambulance. Louis went in with Ethan. The ambulance drove off to the hospital. Caleb, Kalani, and Lucille came over to Lexi and I. The cops rushed everyone out and they questioned the scare actors and us since we were there at the time. No one really saw anyone suspicious. I didn't want to be here. No one did. Ethan almost died and there was blood everywhere. No one there even looked suspicious and there were no leads. "Can we please go home? I don't want to be here." I said. Caleb and the others nodded and we got in the car and we drove to the hospital. We waited in the waiting room to see if Ethan was going to be fine. "I hope Ethan is gonna be okay. What even happened?" Lucille said. The doctor goes out into the waiting room. "Ethan is going to be okay. He's going to be in the hospital for about four to eight days. Are the parents here?" Dr. Rodriguez asked. Ethan's parents, Mr & Mrs Levi stood up. "Can we see him?" Mrs. Levi asked. The doctor nodded and walked them to the room. After we checked on him, we headed home. It was getting late. No one had really talked to each other since the hospital.
