Getting assigned night patrol was one of the worst and simultaneously best parts of Minji's job as a police officer, the pros being it would give her some semblance of peace that would otherwise be absent in the daytime, the cons being literally everything else about her job at night.

Drunk driving cases were one of the worst, especially on a Friday night.

This night, she was driving rather slowly along the area of the city which transitioned from the city centre to the lesser-traversed residential areas, trying to catch any hooligans wreaking havoc or making sure drunkards that could barely walk more than two steps in a straight line make it home safe.

Minji's shift was uneventful-there was the usual drunk bunch of people that she had to escort, maybe a fight or two, but everything was going pretty run-of-the-mill.

Cruising down a relatively quiet, lesser-maintained road, Minji shoots a glance at the clock, which read 12.33. It was nearing the end of her shift.

She breathes out in relief. Just a little more.

Taking a right turn at a junction, she squints when she realises there was a car right in front of her, moving suspiciously slow and swerving ever so slightly.

Perfect, Minji thinks to herself. Just as I thought I was done.

She turns on the red-and-blue lights to signal for the car to pull over to the side of the road, which, surprisingly, obliged, albeit slow.

Taking a deep breath, Minji steps out of her patrol car and moves over to the driver's side window.

Her eyes widen in surprise at the lone woman in the car, one of a smaller stature, looking as frightened as a deer in headlights and visibly slightly inebriated.

Minji couldn't ignore just how beautiful she was, though the thought was immediately shaken off. She was never one to drop professionalism.

"Please, officer, don't arrest me," The woman pleads before Minji could even say anything. "I'm-I'm not that drunk, I promise!"

"Calm down, miss, there will be no arresting involved, but I need you to turn off the engine and step out of the vehicle," Minji says, holding up her badge. "Name's Officer Kim. Please show me your license and registration."

Minji sees how the look in the woman's eyes changed from scared and vulnerable to seductive, and her body language changes almost immediately as she relaxed, eyeing the officer up and down before she nods, opening the door and stepping out.

"Alright, officer," She grins as she reaches into her bag, and Minji keeps one hand on her holster just in case she tried to do anything funny. The woman retrieves her documents from her purse, keeping her hands up, the smirk on her face never fading as she kept her eyes on Minji while she scanned through her documents. "Anything else I can show you?"

Minji clears her throat at the obvious innuendo, and she hands the documents back to her, acting unaffected.

She was always good-looking, with a face that was more handsome than pretty and had no problem attracting women, and, of course, Hanni was no exception. She was horribly attracted to this broad-shouldered, deep-voiced, tall, handsome officer, and she had to do something about it, even if this something meant risking her clean criminal record.

"Why are you out here drunk on these roads at night, miss?" Minji questions, her deep voice stern as ever. "It's dangerous, especially alone."

"Well, I'm not really alone now, am I?" The woman, who Minji now knew as Hanni, giggles. "I know a tall, strong officer like you would protect me."
