minji still sitting on her chair, gets disturbed when a knock comes crashing by her door. she looks behind and sighs before swiveling her chair to face the door. "who is it?" she asks, with a book in her hands, eyes squinting on her wooden door as it opens and the head of the shorter girl peeks out. "hey uhm, can i come inside?" hanni asks, her eyes on the taller girl who's sitting. minji looks away and nods, turning her chair to face her table once again.
"what do you need?" minji asks, her large fingers flipping the page around, eyes following the lines of the book she's reading — her lips closing after she asks. hanni laughs and fiddles with her fingers, walking inside the room and not forgetting to close and lock the door behind her. minji could hear her footsteps from behind.
"uhm, i just want to ask you about something but you seem busy. what are you reading?" hanni stops behind her step sister, putting up a sheepish smile while swaying in anxiety. minji turns around and looks up at hanni, taking off her glasses and sighing. "nothing, just tell me what you want." the older girl says, hanni laughs and looks away. "uh, it's kind of awkward, can i sit on your bed first?" hanni reaches for the hem of her skirt and lightly squeezes it — noticed by her step sister by the way it slides up on her thighs.
"okay," minji pauses and closes her book.
hanni sinks softly on the mattress, feeling its soft cushion under her. "wow — your bed's so soft! much softer than mine…" she bounces on the bed, making it creak.
"you're like a kid." minji says, setting her book down beside her glasses. hanni pouts. "i'm not a kid anymore, it's just that — i haven't been able to relax on an actual bed since college started."
minji nods and sits beside hanni. "how's college?" she asks, looking at hanni with her round eyes.
hanni stares at minji, to her thick brows and tall nose bridge.
"uh, it's okay. don't want to talk about it though." hanni laughs sheepishly, minji's face seems to change a bit.
"why? something happened?" minji inquires.
"no, it's just that — i'm on summer break, stressed out and it's supposed to be my break so i don't want to talk about it. at all." hanni replies, pushing a strand of her hair behind her ears. minji's eyes trace along the shorter girl's figure, then turning away slowly.
"alright." though minji wants to push further to the question she just didn't, out of respect probably.
"what do you want to ask again?" minji asks, looking down on her carpeted floor then back at hanni.
"i need help with something." hanni laughs sheepishly, scratching her cheek. "oh, it's a little embarrassing but — i'm just curious." she continues before looking away, cheeks dusted with pink.
"about what?" minji asks.
"about — argh, god how do i put this into words…" hanni pinches her nose bridge, thinking hard. "it's because i wanted to go out with this person in my college and i was wondering if you can help me."
"how?" minji has her hands on her knees, while hanni's face is as red as tomatoes.
"crap, what do you like about a girl? what do you want to see about her or when you take home girls — what are you usually looking for?" hanni asks, minji busts out chuckling, looking down with an annoying smile on her face.
hanni pouts and groans. "oh don't laugh at me! seriously… i'm asking you cause i figured you'd know!"
minji wipes off the sweat on her forehead. "anything actually, doesn't matter. why would you ask me anyway? why not try to figure that person out? you know i can't help you." hanni grabs minji's collar. "i know you know! please just help me!" their faces were inches away from each other, minji clicks her tongue.
