[A/N: Ahh I'm running out of sorry I love you lyrics for my summaries. This chapter is so dramatic I'm not even sorry though. But please pretend to not notice how unrealistic these events are : ) ]

The time waiting for you
Feels like waiting for a traffic signal at a four way street

"I am the ex-Crown Prince, Prince Chan. I am here to reclaim my title."

***

Twelve hours earlier

Chan keeps coming up with terrible, terrible plans. He has no intention of stopping.

"What the fuck are you thinking, hyung?" Seungmin spits, beyond bewildered, as soon as Chan finishes explaining his idea. "You do remember how badly your last plan went, right?"

Chan rubs his neck with a sheepish expression, sinking into his desk chair. "I mean, it did work. We got Minho here. It was just... an unfortunate conclusion. The practical aspect was successful, but the emotional, Minsung one wasn't."

"Minsung? Seriously?" Hyunjin gripes, side-eyeing Chan judgmentally.

Seungmin sighs exasperatedly, smacking Hyunjin's shoulder. "That's not important. What is important is that we shut down Chan's plan before he takes it any further!"

Chan squeezes his eyes shut in frustration, knowing he'll be fighting to convince these two for a while. Truthfully, he doesn't blame them. What he just proposed sounds awful, and it probably is.

"Look, there's no other option. We have to save Minho," Chan pleads.

Seungmin huffs, almost in offence. "There is no 'saving' him. He's getting married! It's been announced and organised and everything! There is no stopping it!"

Chan groans quietly, mustering up as much willpower as he can. "It seems that way, yes-"

"It doesn't 'seem' that way - it is that way! You're not gonna crash a fucking wedding!"

Hyunjin hums, nodding. "I agree with Seungmin. Chan, you're insane for even thinking you can do that."

And maybe both of them are right. Chan is indeed insane, maybe driven mad with grief and guilt for what he brought upon his cousin as a result of his own selfishness. But he's never felt so determined to act - not even when he organised Minho's pseudo-kidnapping. He knows he has to do this. It's the least he can do. Crashing a royal wedding that's being broadcasted live on TV is a much bigger deal than he's making it sound like, but he has to repay Minho.

He won't be able to live with himself knowing he could have done something to prevent Minho from being miserable for the rest of his life.

"Maybe it won't work, but I have to try, at least," Chan insists, his voice strained with desperation.

"It definitely won't work! You'll be murdered right before you even breathe near the door to the venue. This is not a K-drama. There is absolutely zero chance you'll succeed!" Seungmin yells.

"And your plan involves only the three of us. Three guys against Park Jinyoung's army? You think that's possible?" Hyunjin adds.

Chan acknowledges that little hitch in his plan: the new bodyguards. He knows Seungmin and Hyunjin still have unresolved trauma from the day they were left for dead after Minho was torn away from them. He does feel bad for asking them - twice - to risk everything for a plan that will probably fail.
