Aurora ~ The Love For My Boss

My black pumps clacked against the lobby's marble floor. I smiled at Emma- the receptionist and she gave me a nod and continued talking into the phone. I sped up as I watched everyone crowd into the elevator. I stepped into the elevator and swiftly pressed number twenty eight and stepped toward the back of the elevator once I saw the number glow with light.

As I waited for my floor, I couldn't help but notice that I was the only women in the elevator. The men all wore fitted suits, leather shoes, some with a brief case in their hand.

When the elevator stopped at my floor, me and three others stepped off the lift and into the hall that led to corporate offices. I nodded to the men and went to my desk which was a simple dark wooden desk that had a stack of papers three feet high, I sighed and sat down putting my bag under the desk. As I powered up my Mac I could hear the footsteps of my boss. "Aurora!" I rolled my eyes as her figured appeared. "Where's my coffee?" She demanded and I raised my eyebrow. For the past six months I've worked her, not once had she asked me for a coffee.

"Go get me a black coffee now!" Sighing I resisted the urge to throw the photo my mom and I at her retreating figure. I could distantly hear her mumble the words lazy ass.

I didn't bother grabbing my purse and took a twenty from my black wallet instead. I fixed my navy blue blouse and checked my white pants for any stain before heading to the lift again with a scowl on my face.

Luckily, Starbucks was across the street along with an array of places to eat. I stepped into the store and stood I line and couldn't help but stress about the mountain of papers on my desk. I felt the crease in my forehead form once again. "Hey," I turned to see a man that looked to be in his late twenties with slicked back hair, a stubble, and smoldering blue-grey eyes. "You look a bit stressed, you okay?" His worried eyes searched mine and I couldn't help blush under his gaze.

I stepped forward in line and said softly, "I'm okay. My boss is just being a bitch and handing her work off to me." I couldn't help but complain. He nodded and moved so he was next to me again. "Today, she decides that she wanted coffee, I mean she has a coffee maker in her room for crying out loud!" I almost shouted, drawing some people's attention. "'Sorry." I said both to the stranger and the customers.

Before he could say anything, I stepped forward in line. "Can I get a black coffee and a peppermint hot chocolate, please?" She smiled and began to type in the order as she yelled out to her coworkers the order.

"Will that be all?" She asked and as I went to say yes, the stranger next to me ordered a caramel latte. "Total is 13.93" Before I could reach for the crisp twenty in my pocket, the stranger handed her a ten and a five. As we walked over to the line, I looked at him.

He wore a black suit with a white undershirt and a navy blue tie along with black leather shoes. "Done looking?" He asked and I looked away. "Don't worry, I was checking you out too." I blushed, scarlet covering my cheeks. When I glanced at him, his neck was a light shade of red as was the tips of his ears. The name Seb was called out and he stepped forward to grab the tray with three drinks

We walked back to the building in silence- well more like me walking and him following. As I turned to enter the building with the two drinks in my hand, I felt a hand rest on my back. "Hey um..."

"Aurora." I said clearly and he smiled.

"It's a gorgeous name for an even gorgeous girl." He paused for a second. "Can I get your number, please?" I hesitantly listed off the ten digits as he fumbled to get his phone out of his suit pocket. "Sorry, can you say it again?" I recited the numbers again and walked into the awaiting elevator. "Bye."

I smiled and watched as the elevators closed on his grinning face. It was then that I let out a breath. Oh my goodness, he was HOT!

Note| I was reading some book and I was like "This book is stupid, I want romance NOW not thirty chapters into the book when they are just now noticing that they like each other. So this was created.
