Victoria~ Shooting Star

"Are you sure you want to do this?" My best friend , Amanda, asked as she curled my now shoulder length hair. I shook my head with a smile.

"I know what you're thinking. The answer is no. I'm marrying him for love, not because I'm pregnant. I'm still a virgin for Christ's sake!" I put my hand on hers which was on my shoulder. We both smiled at each other.

She laughed and hugged me, with all her strength. Our alarm went off. "We have to get going; you think your mom will be there?"

I rolled my eyes at the question, "My mom refused to believe I was engaged, nonetheless getting married." I picked up my black plastic bag that held my white dress along with my shoes. Taking a deep breath, I opened the door of Nick's parent spare bedroom. "Come on."

Of course by the time we reached the country club, almost everyone was there. Part of me, was annoyed that I was late to my own wedding but then, it was my wedding.

A buzzing in my back pocket, made me realize that my phone was ringing. When I saw the caller ID, a radiant smile appeared on my face. "Is that lover boy?" Amanda asked as we hopped out if the small limo. I walked into the room that would temporarily be my dressing room, my bag in tow.

"Maybe." I answered it and turned around so she couldn't see my face, which had what I only could assume an excited smile on. "Hey."

A deep breath was let out "You didn't run away did you? If you did I'm going to find you." I laughed at his nervousness. "What are you doing?"

Laughing, I took off my sweater and leggings. "Undressing, you?"

He groaned, making me giggle. "Such a tease. Seriously though, you're late."

"I am about to put my dress on now. I have to hang up, Amanda is giving me the glare." I smiled at her, only making her glare harden.

"I love you."

Before I could reply, my phone was snatched away from me. "Yeah, yeah, lover boy. She loves you too, bye!" I laughed as I unzipped the long black bag, which revealed my all white figure hugging dress. She huffed as she threw my phone onto a nearby couch.

With the Amanda's help, I shimmied into the beautiful dress. It was strapless and was rectified to fit me perfectly. The bust was detailed cream lace. The veil was my favorite part, it was around ten feet long which had silver beading thought the soft fabric- it was an heirloom from my grandmother. "I'm ready." I announced as I finished taking in my attire.

"Good."

I noticed that Amanda also changed into her soft blue long bridesmaid dress which sat a couple of inches from the floor. As I looked at her feet, a shriek was let out of my lips. My best friend just stared at me like I had just grown another head. "My shoes."

My shoes were my favorite part. One of my close friends who is a shoe designer had made me a pair of heels that were covered in diamonds and glitter which was absolutely beautiful. The box was in the closet. I quickly slipped them on. I laughed, although these shoes were around six inches high, I wouldn't measure up to Nick. "Let's go."

Now, I stood at the double doors that would reveal the pathway which lead out to the gazebo where I would get married. As my hands began to shake from nervousness, I couldn't help but wish for my father to be here so he could calm me down. I sighed; I doubt my mother would even allow him to come-nonetheless know.

Hands covered my eyes and I immediately elbowed them in their stomach and their hands disappeared as they remarked something about strength. "Ouch, girl." I gasped as she saw her colleague clutching her stomach.
