" y/nn - oh , you're already up .. "

you could hear your mothers voice by your door, the slight squeak from the door hinges audible as she made her presence known. the daughters frame shifted, standing in front of a long mirror that was propped against the dark painted walls. head turned, meeting gaze of her mothers as she raised a brow. " why wouldn't I be up .. you know I'm the only one who wakes up around the same time you do for you. " they spoke, a deep exhale released from their nose as they turned to fully face her parental, arms slightly outstretched as they looked down at their attire. the uniform of the new school they had been invited too, she had already forgotten the name, she didn't care for it much as long as she got to the place.

her mother stared, from the curls on top her head down to the sneakers she wore, scuffed some, but almost barely noticeable. it was silent for that moment, besides the washing machine they could hear from down the hall due to the open door. the short woman let a smile form soon her features, her hand raised to hide it as her head bowed down, the dark skinned daughter could literally hear her mother try and muffle the sound of her amusement. " I'm so sorry – you know I love you so so much .. but I cannot look at you in that outfit without laughing. " her mother spoke, the woman laughing underneath her hand covering her amused expression, doing her best to stay as quite as she could.

y/n let her jaw drop, a dramatic shocked look given as if offended, turning back to the mirror that laid against the wall, hands shifted to dust her uniform off once more .. it wasn't too bad, right ? she could say she did look a bit silly. " how do I fix this.. how much time till we leave ? " she asked, now moving towards her closet and sliding it open a bit rushed, they didn't want to be late on her first day, that's embarrassing. her mother ceased her laughter, calming down at the sight of her child moving around to fix herself, she looked at her wrist, checking time on her watch before she looked back up. " I say you've got five minutes to at least step out the house, we have to meet with someone before we go to the school. "

meet someone ? y/n tilted her head away from her closet, brow raised in suspicion. her mother didn't even need to hesitate to answer her daughters un-asked question. " it's another family, you both got free open spots and we so happen to know them. you know I wouldn't socialize with people if it didn't actually mean something. " the parental answered, causing y/n to release a small ' ohh ' , she didn't think much of who the family was, in fact she didn't really care at all. hands rummaging through her closet, sliding hanger by hanger over untill they found something suitable, it was a grey jacket, anything to cover up the uniform some. " I'll be waiting for you down in the parking lot, okay? we've gotta stop and meet with that family, don't forget. oh - and - I'll grab your suitcase so don't worry about it. " her mother spoke as she made her way out the room once more, y/n said her thank yous, and a quick I love you as her mother replied it as she exited.

the teen huffed, sliding both arms through their designated sleeves as she pulled the grey jacket over her body, it was a bit big, sleeves stopping at her knuckles and spacey some.. but that was a style, or at least one she most certainly was fond of, she zipped it up to about her chest, making her uniform a bit visible just in case it went unnoticed by staff or something like that. she scanned her room, time to grab her things and dip. she patted her jackets pockets, feeling the empty space she knew what she needed to grab. lower ligaments carried her over towards her dresser, hand raised as fingers scanned over some jewelry, grabbing a few beaded bracelets, shoving them in her pocket as she did the same with a necklace or two..

she'd just put them on in the car, no problem, she let out a small whistle, scanning her room for anything else before she rolled her eyes, scoffing at her own stupidity. " who the hell forgets their phone .. " she muttered, her mind slipped up for s moment as she leaned towards her bed, hand going under her pillow to pull out her phone, disconnecting it from the charger and grabbing that as well as went to step away from her bed, but, it was quickly stopped by another pause as she muttered a cuss word. turning back towards the end of her bed, another small dresser resting there as she plucked her headphones and their charger from on top of it. letting herself think for a moment, she had gathered all she needed.
