Alright, let's do this one last time.

3rd person pov- two years ago

"Lyla, give me a status report on New York 75.88," Miguel's tired voice filled [y/n]'s ears as she slouched her back. She didn't have the energy to let it be known that she had woken up, let alone even open her eyes. There was nothing left for her.

Lyla glitched and flickered across the room, opening up dozens of screens with various scenes of buildings crashing, fires and glitches destroying mankind and nature alike, and people running. "It's a goner," she sighed, adjusting her heart-framed glasses.

"And the Spider-Woman?"

"Survived. Just barely, but survived."

On one of the screens in front of her, Lyla read this spider-woman's info- her heart aching for her.

'SPIDER-WOMAN 75.88 "[Y/N]"
AGE- 16 YEARS
CANNON EVENT- MOM AND BEST FRIEND "MILES MORALES"'

Miguel let out a huff, muttering something in Spanish to himself as he pinched the bridge of his nose- his life, he was sure, was never gonna get any less stressful. And as much as he didn't want to admit it, he and this Spider-Woman were alike; the only remnants of their destroyed universe- the only thing that could ever truly be their own. Except there were some key differences that he couldn't just ignore. He had tried to replace another, happier version of himself and ended up destroying a multiverse that wasn't even his, to begin with. Her multiverse was a victim of the attack of an anomaly gone undetected for far too long and was pried and ripped out of her broken, bleeding fingers.

"She's an anomaly-" Miguel said almost regretfully as he turned to look at her slouched body- backed up to the wall of his horribly empty and dark office space. "-and should be treated as such, no matter her sob story."

Jessica drew, another one of the thousands of spider-woman, clicked her tongue. "Miguel I think that's going a bit far..."

Miguel felt his temper rise, knowing there wasn't anything else he could do for this girl, "What do you expect me to do? Make special exceptions for every other anomaly we see?! To keep other multiverses safe from danger, we can't just—"

"Actually, she can be a special exception," Lyla gave Miguel a sly smile, "Cause' I just found an opening. A universe with no Spider-Man."

"What..?" Miguel looked at Lyla, genuinely thinking that she was just fucking with him, as per usual. That was until she opened a screen. New York 42. Corrupt big-time businesses, gang wars, tired, overworked nurses with power-hungry, criminal CEOs... a perfect place for a broken spider-person to let out their grief on while also decreasing the chance of an anomaly being made...

His eyes flickered to this spider-woman's helpless state. It was up to him to either help her or stay stern on his rules. He sighed throwing something to [y/n]'s feet as he turned away.

Her eyes blinked open, staring at the dimensional travel watch that was thrown at her. She didn't even have the energy to get up. Lyla and Jessica smiled, glad that Miguel had chosen the right thing to do.

"Come on then, [y/n]," his voice was still harsh even though he had shown her a huge act of mercy, "You've got a new universe to get to."

3rd person pov- present day

"Spider-Woman saves the city again! Ever since she made her mysterious appearance around two years ago, the public call her the hero of the people— and the police? A destructive menace. Nonetheless, earlier this morning she brought down the gang boss notoriously known as 'Green Goblin', exposing his line of drug dealing to authorities. The Mayor has just released authorization for the funding of the ASW project- allowing the scientists of New York to examine Spider-Woman's webbing and create something to deflect it. More on the story as it devel—" Miles angrily shut the newscast off, leaning back into the couch with a sigh.
