Serenades are for old school, they say.
"Kadence... Please," he pleaded while grasping tightly on his guitar. I just smiled at him as I shook my head.
These days, it's very uncommon to see someone outside your window, expressing their love through a serenade.
Parokya ni Edgar even asked if 'uso pa ba ang harana?'
"Buo na ang desisyon ko," I said and smiled weakly.
They say, serenades are for old school. Well, it feels the opposite though.
A tear escaped from my eye when I glanced at the stage. I took a deep breath as I tried to stop it from falling. Damn... I didn't know that this will hurt so much.
I felt so... Betrayed? Well, I guess it's also my fault that I listened to my delusions.
"You really love him, ano?" He asked again, pain is evident from his voice.
Hindi ako sumagot. Hindi ko alam kung ano ang isasagot, natatakot ako sa mga mangyayari—sobra.
My actions was his signal to leave, and he did. He actually did.
Once again, I glanced at the stage, watching the band perform one of our songs, one of his written serenades.
"Whatever happens, I'll never get tired spending my whole summer, singing serenades... With you."
