DAY 1:

OFF TO KERN'S RIVER:

My phone rang at 8am. It was Olivia "Are you ready to go for our trip." I forgot that we were going and they are going to pick me up at 8:10am. I ran, put on some clothes and waited outside for them to arrive. It was Harry's car. We started our 10 hour journey. We stopped at a place just to get refreshment which was so beautiful to be honest. The greenery, cool breeze, the foggy clouds. I wandered off to find out what more secrets this nature has. Then I heard a cracking sound. I turned out. "Hello? Is anyone here?" I shouted but there was no response. So I didn't care much because you hear a lot of noises in the forest and I just hear one.

The farther I walked I heard the noise again. Again and again but it felt as if it was approaching me. When I turned around, I could see no one, not even a shadow. I thought about the threatening card and maybe the person is really after me. My thoughts were disturbed by the sound of the bushes shaking. This time I didn't shout instead I went to find it out myself. I was a little bit scared, the more I moved towards the bush, the faster my heart started beating.

"Boom!" yelled Cyril.

"Oh my god! Cyril. Will you knock it off?" I sighed. "You scared a hell out of me man!".

"Haha" laughed Cyril. That evil laugh of his irritates me whenever he tries to play around.

"Stop laughing", I rolled my eyes and he kept provoking me.

We went back to the car and as usual Cyril started talking about the wonders of the world he did to scare me. We had high bass music on. I turned out the window, looking at the fast moving trees and the dark clouds. We hauled again to get refills and moved as fast as we could before it started raining.

Finally we reached the destination but we decided to stay at the cottage as it was completely dark.

The cottage looks old- fashioned like eighty-ninety. But the wood was made of oak. It looked natural and warm. I liked the aroma of the place like the whole house is filled with roses.

The hearth was the relaxing ambiance. We had three rooms booked. So Sasha and Harry decided to share one room, Olivia and I in one room and Cyril got one whole room as he wished for. The people around the cottage were warm-hearted and they served dinner. Off we went to sleep as we were so tired. The only problem with me and Cyril is that we don't get attached to a new place to sleep. I came out to get fresh air and so did Cyril.

"Hey, you" said Cyril.

"What?" I smiled.

"No sleep huh?" Cyril said.

"Yeah! Olivia is fighting in her dream war I guess." I chuckled.

"Ohh god, really?" Cyril laughed, "But you shouldn't have met that man," he looked serious.

"I have to. He is someone who is important to me; you don't have to worry about me "I looked at him defiantly.

"Okay if he is important so be it. But I just want you safe and sound. Is that too much to ask?" he was disturbed.

"No, that's why I have Olivia and Sasha with me". I said firmly.

"FINE! You don't need me" he rolled out his eyes.

"Will you stop blabbering and beautify the night".

"If I could reach up and hold a star for every time you've made me smile, the entire evening sky would be in the palm of my hand". He looked slowly at me.

"Come on! Not your poetry again" I stared . I know Cyril likes me more than what I think. He cares, supports, irritates, and creates a mess. If I could put all these in one word it would be my world.
