The sounds of gun shots and shattering of bottles could be heard, the group was shown shooting mostly the inexperienced of the group with the better shooters of the group mentoring and supervising the lot. Everyone was performing better than expected except Carol, being unable to withstand the jolt of the gun when fired even Carl had better aim than Carol did. Shane and Rick noticed Carol struggle, they both looked at each other and Shane came up close to her.
"Don't get discouraged. You'll hit the target eventually, takes time and patience but I'm sure you'll get there"
Carol let out a disappointing sigh, not about Shane's comment but about her lack of ability, she looks at the group around her all progressing but her. She let this anger burn out though as Shane began slowly giving her instructions she calmed her mind, and began focusing, doing everything Shane is saying.
"Once you have the target in your head, slowly aim just above the bottle and pull the trigger".
Just as Shane had said Carol pulled the trigger and the bottle was destroyed by the bullet that came out of her guns chamber.
"See, I told you" Shane said with his typically charming smile, Shane slowly backed up as Carol was hit with pain in her wrist, pain she's been used to after marrying Ed she simply ignored it and continued shooting.
Shane backed off wanting carol to have some space while she was continuing to shoot, he then noticed Andrea and how she was able to shoot the bottles with ease and moved on to smaller targets like the letters on nearby signs. Realizing Andrea's skills surpass the ability of a beginner he passes her a gun noticeably better than the one she was practicing with.
"Try this one, it's heavy. Get better balance, twice the rounds".
Andrea immediately hit the targets, everyone was impressed with Andrea performance, Rick announced.
"I'd say your ready for the advanced class", Rick approached Andrea to talk "it might be worth your while, after the rest of us head back to camp".
"Sure why not" Andrea replied.
Everyone attention was then drawn to 10k, he took out his sling shot and with speed nobody expected but Shane and otis who'd had seen the kid in action had destroyed each bottle. Only having a few of the ammo he had used be impeded into the bottle rather than completely destroying the bottle, t-dog then threw a bottle in the which 10k broke. The group cheered of 10k display of skill with 10k letting a small grin out, everybody continued practicing.
Hershel is seen feeding horses with Beth by his side back on the farm, Dale walked in, he steadily paced towards Hershel who didn't even acknowledge him. Dale began making small talk for Hershel but Hershel spoke.
"I know your people are good but i say eventually our beliefs will cause great conflict... I saw the broadcasts before they stopped, I saw the irrational fear, the atrocities like the incident at my well or that woman killing her daughter"
"She put down a walker, we put down a walker", Dale said
"You killed a person"
"Well if you watched the same broadcasts I did, you saw walkers attacks, kill they're dangerous, Otis should have told you that, he, Shane or the kid could have died at the school"
"A paranoid schizophrenic is dangerous too, we don't shoot sick people" Hershel states.
"With all due respect you are cut off from the outside world here, but I've seen people that I cared about die and come back, and they're not people". Dale says sounding empathic.
"My wife and step son are in that barn... they're people".
At this point Beth began tearing up leaving in the process, the room was silent until Dale spoke.
