Finney woke up before his alarm which was surprising for him, normally he'd sleep straight till the end or maybe a bit passed, Gwen having to put the alarm on snooze countless of times.
Finney huffed walking out of the bathroom after brushing his hands through his hair to at least try and tame it for today, He had a whole six hours of school to get through before he went to the dance.
Finney grabbed his bag from his bed making sure to grab both his phone and shoes. When he finished tying his shoelaces, he ran downstairs and into the kitchen. Gwen was sitting at the small table whilst their dad was snoring his head off in the lounge room.
"Morning." Finney said going over to grab a water bottle to put into his bag as well as a few chip packets, Gwen nodded at him, greeting him with a full mouth. Finney smiled sitting down across from her.
"Are you going to the dance?" Finney asked, eyebrow raised. Gwen's face taunts into confusion, "I thought you were going with Donna?" Gwen shakes her head, swallowing her food.
"Donna's not going, we're having a girls night with popcorn and movies." She grins looking at the defeated expression on Finney's face. "Your telling me I have to go there alone with Billy and Griffin??" He whines, dropping his head with a frown.
"I'll be third wheeling until Robin shows up, that's even if they let him in." Finney rolls his eyes. Gwen raises a brow, "They'll let him in, they probably won't even notice with the amount of students." Finney shrugs, "As long as he doesn't start shit, Finn. He'll be fine." Gwen narrows her eyes, wiggling her finger at him like an old lady.
Finney snorts, "I'll make sure he won't." He grins, picking his bag up from the floor, "Come on, let's go." He says watching as Gwen picks her cereal bowl off of the table and into the sink before following him.
They pass the living room, looking into it, "Eh I doubt he'll notice we're gone." Gwen scrunches her nose up pushing past Finney to go outside. "You'll tell dad tonight right?" Finney says looking over at Gwen as they start their walk to school.
"Yeah, If he ever wakes up before your home." She rolls her eyes, Finney plays with his fingers, wiggling them. "I might not be coming home.. not tonight at least." Finney whispers getting a confused look from Gwen.
She grins in realisation as she wiggles her eyebrows to his flushing face, "Staying the night?" She jokes, "You guys will be drunk?"
"Gwen.. it's a school dance. I doubt there will be drinks." He interjects, shooting down her idea, "Some will sneak some in, don't worry." Gwen smiles looking straight ahead.
There was silence between them before Gwen speaks, "It's kinda boring in school without Robin and Vance.." Finney turns to her with a raised eyebrow, "If Vance heard you say that, I bet he'll punch you to the ground." He laughs.
"Nah.. he wouldn't hit a girl, he may be aggressive but he'd never hit a girl.. and besides, I'm his favourite." She grins, fluttering her eyes for extra affect. Finney's eyes widened, "I thought Griffin was the favourite?" He turns to her curious.
