33. Playing Cupid

Mia's POV:

I hate mornings after the night outs. I mean why can't I stay with my best friend forever, I really like spending time with her. You know the girls' nights, bitching about the school drama queens and the newly added couples, and plus late-night snacks, who won't love that every day. But we had to come out of that dream world, huh and that is how my morning started.And here I am sitting in my brother's dining room waiting for the breakfast Rosaline is making. And according to me, that is the only exciting part of this morning.Brother came downstairs and sat on the head chair and Rosaline too came with the breakfast. Today, she made some spaghetti with chocolate pancakes, and from the looks, I can see it is delicious. I helped her in serving but she didn't serve Aaron today and I wonder why. I could see Aaron was watching her with a hurt expression, Something seems off today, I need to check it. So, I initiated the conversation."Uhmm, the breakfast is so delicious sister-in-law, yummy. Isn't it brother?""Yes, the cupcakes are really tasty", Aaron replied."Thanks, Mia, have some more" she replied to me ignoring him. I think they had fought over something, let's see if I can help them."So, aren't you both going to the office today?" I asked them"No", they replied in unison and looked at each other, and then Rosaline said, "I'll be working from home today"."And I have taken an off today due to the launch", Brother replied."Oh, okay. So can we go somewhere nice today? I want to spend some time with you two", I asked them giving my best puppy eyes."Sure Princess, We can do that", my brother replied."No, Mia. I am not in the mood today. You two can go ahead", Rosaline replied."Please sister-in-law, I am gonna leave in some time. This would be our last outing together, pretty please." I said holding my hands together. This should work."Ok, just for this once", she replied and I could see my brother smile at her response. Ok, now I need to think about the place, umm, idea."Thank you, Thank you soo much sister-in-law. So, I am thinking about going camping. Mom and Dad never let me go there with my friends but since I have you two, we can go there, right? what do you both say?" I suggested with pleading eyes. I hope they don't deny this otherwise I have to think about another plan."Ok", they both replied."Let's leave in one hour, that way we would be able to reach there on time", Brother said."Yay, I am gonna do the packing then. See you in one hour", I announced and left for my room.

Aaron's POV:Today, I am very proud of my sister. I mean she helped me in spending time with Rosaline indirectly. I will take advantage of this time and will try to make her come out of her cold shell.With that, I went to pack my bags.

Rosaline's POV:Ok, I was not in the mood to go somewhere and definitely not with Aaron but looking at Mia's pleading eyes I could not deny her. She is adorable and I feel more like a big sister to her. So, I will stick with her and ignore Aaron. Yes, that is what I would do.

Author's POV:Three of them left for the camping after one hour, it was near a hill station outside the city. After traveling for about 2 hours, they reached the location. Rosaline was ignoring Aaron throughout the way which was making him anxious. Mia was chatting with one of her friends since they started their car, so the whole ride was extremely quiet and uncomfortable for Aaron.Reaching the venue, Aaron parked the car and carried their luggage, Rosaline took her bag from him forcefully and the three started climbing the mountain and Mia already started her plan. She was leading the way while Roslaine was just following her closely and Aaron was at the last. She purposely kicked a small stone toward Rosaline making her trip over that. Aaron saw that and ran towards her.Rosaline closed her eyes and was waiting for the fall but Aaron caught her on time. They looked into each other's eyes, Rosaline saw his concerned face, his care for her was making her weak day by day and it was difficult for her to avoid her feelings now. She knew, she was falling for her and that is what makes her more scared of the situation.Fighting the feelings, she tried to stand straight but instantly fell down in his arms. She cried out with pain, and Aaron immediately bent down and made her sit on his lap."Are you alright Rosy? Did you get injured? Let me take you to the hospital", Touching her legs, he asked with concern in his voice."No, I am fine. It's just, that I think I sprained my ankle. You guys can go ahead. I will wait here and will call Milinda to pick me up", she said with a painful voice."No, We will not go without you. Besides, there is no network in this area. Let's go back, we will go there some other time." Aaron replied firmly."Yes, let's go back brother", Mia too replied, she was feeling guilty seeing Rosaline in pain but she had to do that to help them."No Mia, You really wanted to go camping, right? Let's not cancel the plan, I will try to walk", Rosaline said, She didn't want them to cancel the plan just because of her."No, You won't. You can not walk with this, Let's go back home", Aaron said."I am fine Aaron, See", Rosaline said and stood up suddenly but hissed with the pain."See, I told you. Why are you so stubborn", Aaron angrily asked."Because that is who I am. I will go there, okay", She replied."Fine, you want to go on with the trip. Let's go then. Come here", Aaron said and stood up. He moved the bag to his front and bent down, motioning Rosaline to climb on his back.Rosaline knew he won't let her walk so she quietly climbed on her back. Aaron gave her a piggyback ride the whole way. Rosaline was enjoying this, no one had ever given her a piggy ride and it was a heart-touching feeling for her. She could feel his hard muscles and even at the hill station, she was feeling warmth.
