17. Terms and Conditions

 Rosaline's POV:

"A Contract", we both said together.

I was quite confused about what he was suggesting and I think Milinda was too. Facing us, his assistant picked up the file from the table and handed it to me.I opened the same and read the words on the Front Page.

"Relationship Contract" between Mr. Aaron Cartter and Miss Roaline Anderson. I jerked it a bit and threw it on the table.

"What are you trying to do here Mr. Carter, a relationship contract seriously, Could you please enlighten me a bit about this? I don't think I would like another page of this file a bit. So it's better you tell me about it directly." I furiously said.

Aaron and his assistant shared a look and his assistant nodded slightly.

"Please calm down Miss Rosaline, Let me tell you about it", His assistant responded.

"So we are proposing a relationship contract between you and my boss, according to which you both need to act like a couple in front of the media for 6 months. You have to show the media that you two are in love with each other, you both would be attending the events together and would be required to act a little lovey-dovey. After 6 months the contract would expire and you two would announce that it didn't work out between you too. In this way, both of you would be saved from the current issue." His assistant said in a calm voice.

Listening to their proposal of a contract relationship, I was losing my patience with them. But if I think about it, this would surely solve our problem but I don't like anyone coming into my personal space, and that too Aaron Carter who showed his attitude on our first meeting. He is a self-obsessed, rude, arrogant jerk and I can't handle more than 30 minutes with him in the same room then how would I manage 6 months with him acting lovey-dovey in front of the world?No, I can not, he is not my cup of tea.

"No, I can't do that. I am not gonna act with you besides the issue is more problematic to you as your media house would be in question, not me. So why should I suffer being with you for 6 months?" I said nonchalantly.

I think that made Mr. Arrogant angry as he clenched his jaw looking at me.

"Because, even if this would affect me more, you can't deny it would harm your image too. And this could also affect your brand shares which if you have checked before coming here were on the top after today's incident." He replied while trying to compress his anger.

Ok, he is right. I've checked the share graph today and it jumped to 50% higher just in a few hours but even if I have to do this for my company, I will have to make sure that I have the upper hand in this. Thinking about this, I came up with an idea.

"I agree that but I could gain them again in just a few months' time. I work with Strategy Mr. Carter and know how to deal with this later. So if you want me to do this favor for you, you need to understand that I won't be doing it without any profit", I confidently replied and I know have touched on his sore vein.

Aaron's POV:

She sure knows how to do business. She mentioned it as a favor knowingly to insult me for yesterday. But I know I need her help with this, Garry had already explained to me the after-effects of declining the rumors. After analyzing everything, I knew I would be the one at more loss to her and especially my media house, no one would trust them again if people know that they spread fake rumors about their own CEO. A.A Media House is my identity. Even if I am handling Carter Enterprises now, I know I would be more proud of my media house as I started it from scratch without any financial help from my father and without the use of my sir name. So I cannot let that go in vain, I need to do this for me.

Thinking about this, I replied, "Yes, Miss Rosaline. You are right, and to compensate you for this, I would like to offer 20% of my shares in A.A Media Studio" and I could hear a gasp beside me, It was Garry of course, I faced him and he became silent.

Then I saw a small smile more like a victory smile on Rosaline's face, She nodded and raised her hands for a handshake, I shake hands with her and she replied,"Deal", I also responded, "Yes, Deal Miss Anderson".

So this is how my life changed from a proud CEO to a helpless one but I would definitely make a comeback once she signs the contract. I know how to win this game and I already have some plans in my mind to do that. Thinking about those, I smiled internally.
