We watch the summer X Games for a while and now it's almost 10 o'clock. I ask Ed if he has an extra toothbrush I could borrow and he tells me it's in the drawer all the way to the right bottom row in the bathroom.
I go to the bathroom and brush my teeth. when I walk out Ed is standing at the door. we give each other a smile and I walk to the bedroom I will be staying in and he walks into the bathroom.
I walk into the bedroom and get in bed. I leave the light on so I can just relax. I don't want to turn it off yet.
*knock knock*
"Come in!" I yell
Ed walks in and stands at the door. he shifts uncomfortably.
He scratches the back of his neck and says, "I'm sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable at all during the time you've been here. I couldn't hold in my thoughts. I don't want you to think that the reason I asked you to stay with me is because I'm some weirdo. I don't want you to get the wrong idea about me. "
I stand up out of bed and walk over to him.
"Don't worry I wasn't uncomfortable at all and I know your not like you know.. that. I feel comfortable here and I.. I trust you. please don't prove me wrong."
"Okay I promise I will not prove you wrong. you can trust me.." Ed says smiling at me. "I'll let you go to bed now. if you need anything I'll be in the room across the hall, you can just come and get me. hope your ready for our flight tomorrow!"
I give him a nod and a smile.
No one moves we just look each other in the eyes. Ed's eyes wonder my my eyes to my lips and back to my eyes. he quickly turns around and heads out the door.
"Goodnight!" He calls.
