Ok hey guys. It's been like a year I know but I doubt many people were dying for an update. I still won't admit that this is satire (bffr) but it's not exactly high art. Anyway, I reread the last chapter but honestly I can't make myself read the rest of this shit so I kinda don't know what's going on so if this makes no sense that's why. Here you go!
Your jaw drops, Edward would never. Would he? After an eternity Ricky speaks "oh gosh you don't know" you can hear the restraint in his voice, a part of him wants to rub it in, prove once and for all that he's the man for you, but he also knows that this hurt you. "No, no you must be wrong" you finally say, "I'm not" he says cutting you off "Y/N, I know you don't want to hear this but please don't gaslight me, Edward is a bad, bad boy and he hurt me very badly" you try to think of a response but you just burst into tears. Ricky holds you as you cry, he may be cold but he still makes you feel so warm. You're not sure what this feeling is but you think it might be love (girl, I think it's been like a week) as you bury your face in his chest you can't help but notice his lack of a heartbeat. You're not sure what to make of the whole situation but you know that if he did have a heart it would be in the right place. You picked the right guy.
After a couple hours of sobbing on the couch you stop crying, Ricky hasn't said a word in all that time aside from the occasional "shh" or "it'll be ok" so you're surprised that when you finish crying and look up into his dark eyes they're filled with tears as well. "You're crying!" You say taken aback "what, oh yeah? I just feel bad for you" he says awkwardly, then softer he says "are you ok now?" He says gently stroking your face. You don't back down that easy, "don't dodge the question, Bowen" you say "so I take it you're ok" he says wiping the tears out of his eyes. "I actually have to go" he says standing up "uh, we'll talk more later" before you can argue he rushes out the door.
You know you shouldn't but about 10 minutes after he leaves you sit down on your bed and call Edward. He doesn't answer so you text him "we need to talk" and in a separate text "it's about Ricky" you know you should hate him for turning Ricky but honestly you're more mad at Ricky for leaving than you are at Ed. As you wait for a reply you think more and more about the whole situation. So Edward is a vampire, I guess that makes sense, he is just as pale if not more pale than Ricky. 'I guess hotness is a vampiric trait as well' you think to yourself. Edward was married, that definitely makes sense, that's how he could've had this whole life seemingly before his senior year in HS, he's not 17 he's much much older. Somehow that made him even hotter in your book, I mean he has lots of life experience and would probably be a good protector. But on the other hand he couldn't protect his dead wife so maybe not. Now Ricky was 17, he had to be because his parents are human, do they know? You wonder, before you can continue your pros and cons list you hear you phone ring. It's Edward. You pick up silently "y/n" he says sharply "what's going on?" You stay silent, the second you hear his voice you regret it, everything Ricky said about how dangerous he is echoed through your brain. "Are you there y/n" he said, you finally spoke "are you a vampire?" You ask in a shaky voice. You hear a long exhale on the other side and then a dial tone. The hair on the back of your neck stands straight up. You sit, frozen in terror on your bed waiting for something. About 5 minutes later you hear a car pull up in front of your house, you check you phone and see that it's still far too early for your mom to be getting home. You peak out the window and see Edward getting out of his car and making a beeline towards your front door but before he gets there you see Ricky run out of his house at an inhuman speed and tackle Edward right before he gets to the door. (Ok so full disclosure I don't know how vampires work in twilight so if this makes no sense I'm sorry) Ricky flashes his fangs at Edward and says "don't even think about it Cullen" Edward looks shocked but it doesn't last long, within seconds his fangs are out and he's charging at Ricky. You miss what happens next because you run downstairs as fast as you can, by the time you open the front door Edward has Ricky pinned against the side of the house, the older man has Ricky's wrists pinned at his sides and as hard as he struggles he isn't getting anywhere. Neither of them seem to notice your presence, Edward runs his teeth along Ricky's neck before whispering in a gruff voice "if I hadn't already turned you, you'd be toast" Ricky goans and struggles more, this time craning his neck to try to get loose anyway he can, and while doing so he catches your eye "Y/N" he yells "What are you doing out here? Run" Edward turns on a dime and stares straight into your eyes. He throws Ricky to the ground and speeds over to you grabbing your hands "y/n, do you trust me?" He asks quickly "I- uh" you can feel both their eyes staring at you intensely "I don't know" you say.
