"TATE"

"Why he ain't just come himself?" Shy questioned me, helping me up into the Sprinter since my heels were almost crippling me.

"He won't even get out the bed unless he working. I'on know what's wrong with him." I answered while fixing my purse on my shoulder.

I couldn't even get Douda to walk downstairs so him begging me to go to the dinner with his management team didn't shock me. The real shock factor was him being depressed over something that didn't have anything to do with me despite alllll my recent transgressions.

I was definitely curving Nardo every chance I got, but it's sad to say I was enjoying the ordeal— which made me feel even guiltier.

"He ain't talked to us since we came to the studio. The dinner right down the street, shit like a ten minute drive from y'all house. He coo?"

I glanced back at Lou as I took a seat on the farthest row in the back. "Obviously not"

"You and Douda into it or sumn?" Shy frowned, taking a seat beside Nardo.

"We're fine"

Lou looked back at me, scoffing. "Mercury must be in Gatorade, y'all never fine. Nardo you hear this shit?" I kissed my teeth immediately at Lou, setting my bag down and fixing the straps of my heels.

"Ain't none of my business, nigga."

"You minding your business? That's new." I furrowed my eyebrows, looking up just in time to see the blank glance back he gave me. "Mercury might be in retrograde for-real, Lou."

"Man I'm ready to eatttt" Shy rubbed his hands together, changing the subject and creating conversation amongst the truck. I tapped Douda's contact after buckling my seatbelt, putting my phone to my ear.
