The Tale's End

Zeke went and fulfilled his childhood dream of opening a restaurant. Not just seafood. Everything. He finally finished what his great grandpa started. His family was so happy.

Liberty, well, she decided to move close to the mansion to be closer to her great grandmother. With Zeke's help, we bought her a small bit of land out side the mansion.

We built her home there. She turned it into a shop and a shrine to her family and called it Memento Mori. Collected rare oddities and objects from everywhere. Eventually, she became a real medium just like Leota was. Figured this was the best way to carry on the family legacy. She practiced daily to keep her powers in tune. And extraordinarily well, she did so.

And as for me, well, word had been spreading fast of our story since the night it happened. But I did of course have some of my own to tell of my other visits that followed.

Some people and friends begged for more. I told them, "I'm afraid this is one of those things you must see it to believe it."

With the help of the ghost relations department, a special committee for mortal visitors to the house, we managed to convince the ghosts to open up to others. People from all over town came to see it.

Many got scared out of their wits, especially seeing the fun in it all. The mansion became the biggest tourist trap in New Orleans. The ghosts were happy too because they had more people to scare than they ever dreamed of in their afterlives.

Of course, I still kept up my reputation at the place as being it's most frequent and favored guest.

And afterwards with the blessings of Madame Leota and the others, I continued to pursue my dream of becoming a writer.

Only many years laterdid I come to understand how on that cold, and dreary October night, when Ifirst opened the door to that Haunted Mansion, I had opened the door to therest of my life.
