TW: MENTIONS OF SELF-HARM
___HURT
FRI – 10/27"I SWEAR THAT WAS so good," Aless murmurs as she holds the door for everyone to exit the restaurant. Amaira follows behind her, but doesn't say anything as her eyes and fingers were too busy focused on her phone.
Her face is scrunched, her bottom lip puckering out slightly, her brows pulled together, and her nose lifted a bit—almost as if she looked pissed. It was kind of cute, far from intimidating at least. Unlike last time when she looked upset, she looked like she was going to murder someone.
"I ate too much," Celeste admits as she walks out. Her hand is pressed against her stomach, pain visible on her face as she leans against a lamp post for support. "But it was definitely good."
I follow behind Gray, feeling rather annoyed. Jae appears a moment later, a smug look on his face. His dark brown eyes fell on me and a small smirk curls on the edge of his mouth. He doesn't say anything which makes it even more annoying.
"Can't believe you pulled that shit," I grumble.
"What? Sneaking my card to the waitress while you and Gray bite each others head off?" Jae shrugs. "So what. At least I got my card in without looking like an idiot."
"Well fuck you, I was supposed to pay for tonight."
"Wasn't I supposed to?" Gray asks.
"No, you did it last week right?"
"Archer, it's not a big deal. You can pay next time."
"Next time, Arjun's gonna bury me if I even think about mentioning about paying for the food."
Behind me I hear Amaira whisper to Aless. "This awfully sounds like a dinner night with the aunt's and uncle's over, and all the adults screaming over who gets to pay first."
"Seriously, Archer?" Jae deadpans at me.
"Yes, seriously. You broke the rule," I snap, running my fingers through my hair. It was rule between the seven of us that each time we go out to eat, one person is responsible for paying depending on who's turn it is. It was my turn, but because Jae paid this time, Arjun would pay next time. The catch is that Arjun won't allow anyone else to pay if he's paying. Hence why I am currently pissed.
"It's not a big deal," Celeste tries to intervene.
"It is a big deal." I sigh and look away. "Okay, you know what, if you wanna play dirty, Jae, you can play dirty." I flip him off and turn to the girls.
