SO. Let's start this book off with a bang!
Starting off with.....the cure.
So, basically, many scientists that somehow survived the infection managed to find some kind of cure for the infecteds. HOWEVER, the cure only half cures the tubbies rather than fully curing them.
The effects of the cure on the infected teletubbies are:
1. They get to feel emotions again. This does not apply to a select few of these tubbies because of a few technical difficulties, but surely the real cure will bring their emotions back somehow.
2. They don't exactly have murderous instincts anymore, obviously.
3. While they did got half cured, they still keep some of their features from their mutated forms, but overall they'll look like a normal teletubby.
