In the following weeks, Hero's Basics class was used as training time, and for that, the fields, grounds, and gyms at U.A. were open for students to train in until around 6:00 pm. The class even made frequent trips to USJ, where the students dispersed to various zones to do their own thing.

Exhausted with the non-stop work both at school and the commission, I reclined on a bed-like slab in the landslide zone, my feet crossed over one another. I decided I would take today off, and there was nothing anyone could do to stop me.

At least, not until Aizawa found me.

"A-Akiharu!" I looked down to see Midoriya stumbling up the steep hills of upturned earth. "I–If you don't mind, I have a question... Or a few, actually..." He pulled out his notebook – a ragged, beaten-up thing, labelled Hero Analysis for the Future, no. 13. "S-See, there isn't much I can do to to prepare Quirk-wise, because of all the damage it causes me, but, um!"

Struggling to get the words out, his head tilted to one side, and he started sweating profusely. "W-Well! I've been trying to compile information of my classmates, and I was wondering if you would answer a few questions about your Quirk and such, because I've noticedsomeinconsistencieswithyourQuirkanditonfusedmesoIhaven't..."

"Woah, slow down, I can't understand you!" I said, swinging to my feet.

"W-Well, um, I know it would give me an unfair advantage to know so much about you so if you'd like you can ask me about my Quirk too," he rambled on, "And, um..."

"You can calm down, man!" I snickered. "I'll answer your questions, on one condition," I pointed to his notebook. "Let me see my page, at least."

"That's all you want...?"

I shrugged. "It'll let me get a look inside your head. If anything, that's giving me an unfair advantage."

"W-Well, it's not that I mind that! It's just a bit embarrassing..." Midoriya flicked quickly through the book until he found the right page. I leaned over his shoulder to get a look.

I saw why he had questions – his notes were mostly blank, aside from a few reminders to himself

I saw why he had questions – his notes were mostly blank, aside from a few reminders to himself. Avoids using Quirk when on offence... I read, and grimaced. Where'd he learn that?

Midoriya flushed and snapped the book shut. "U-Um, so! I was wondering, I noticed that you tend to touch what you manipulate, but not always, and you wear gloves... So, is it just a personal preference or does it have something to do with how your Quirk works?"

I hummed, patting the side of the bench. "Take a seat. It's a bit tricky to explain. There's a lot more to my Quirk than meets the eye."

Pointing my finger at the ground, I made a little diagram of a person and put a dot in the middle. "That's me. The dot is something I call my energy, but you could think of it as a life force. That's how I keep it, usually.
