Lorai

"Jason Gregory?" I slowly approached the tall, strawberry blonde headed man, who matched the profile picture of NYU's Psychology Department Head. He was deep into a conversation with a couple of young women. They were giggling, batting their eyelashes, and crossing their arms over their chest so that the peaks of their breasts poked out from their shirts.

He raised his head, smiling. His eyes roamed my body for a quick second before responding, "Yes?"
If Sofia had really had an affair with him I could've definitely seen why. He was an older man. And not only was he tall, he was muscular. His jaw was shaped by a short beard, and his strong brows popped against the color of his blue eyes.

"Lorai Espinosa, attorney at Lee Kennedy. I'm here to ask you a few questions about Sofia Mallard."

"Ah," he nodded his head, "why don't we chat in one of the study rooms?" He excused himself from the women.

I nodded and followed him into a dimly lit room.
We sat down. I watched as he made himself comfortable. "I'm guessing Erika led you to me."

"Perhaps."

He chuckled, "you're wasting your time here with me, Miss Espinosa. I didn't kill Sofia."

His arrogant demeanor did not sit well with me. "Well in that case I guess I should just wrap this up then?"

He shook his head, looking away from me.

"Right. So was it true that you were having an affair with Sofia Mallard?" I cocked my head.

"Wow starting off with the big questions..."

"If it's too much we can start off with where you were the night of the murder?"

Jason peered at me, getting up,  "Listen lady, l'm not the one being convicted for murder here."

"But you could be." I retorted.

"I had invited my brother to spend a couple days with me. We had been estranged for a little while and I wanted to reconnect."

"Were you estranged because you were having an affair with Sofia? He found out...you two stopped talking...you felt guilty and so you invited him over."

"You know what," he leaned forward, "why don't you go fuck yourself. I'm not saying anything else without a lawyer."

"Lawyering up?" I got up and walked around the table, "fair enough. But just so you know this conversation isn't over."
