Lorai
"You're looking extra good today, baby!"
"Where's your man at?"
"You wouldn't have to be working that pole for the rest of your life if you just came home with me, baby girl."Excuse you, I'm here because I love working the pole.
I walked past a group of rowdy old men. Men who probably had wives, children, and hell maybe even grand children. "Isn't it past your bed time, boys?"
They all laughed. "Oh come on, Money Bunny. Don't be like that."
"Maybe I'd be a little nicer to ya if you shoved some money down my g-string," I bit my bottom lip.
They all lined up to shove their bills under my thin fabric. In some strange way I found it endearing. "Thank you very much," I blew them a kiss, "now if you'll excuse me I gotta go chat with my girls."
"Hurry back," one of them said.
I made a heart with my hands and made my way back stage.
The girls were all giggling as they counted their money.
"How much did you make tonight, girl?!" Evelyn, a.k.a Sugar Bomb, a.k.a my best friend, ran up to me in her cherry red heels.
I fanned all my cash in her face, "Honey, I can buy an island with all the money I made tonight."
"That's my girl!" She slapped my ass as we walked back to the dressing room.
"Ladies," Alejandro Rojas, the club owner waltzed in our dressing room. Alejandro was a good man and nothing was more important to him than his girls. Considering his position of power, he never took advantage of it. Not once. I think that's why we all respected him. "Listen up please!" He clapped his hands and we quieted down. "Tomorrow we have a private booking and I'm only going to be allowing a few of you girls to come in. So I need you all to pack up early tonight so I can get this place ready for tomorrow."
"Oooh," the girls cooed.
"Can you tell us who they are?" I asked.
"Yeah," Evelyn chimed in, "please tell me it's those boys from the fire department again!"
We all cheered.
Oh God I hope so, I love preforming for those boys."Nope, not them," Alejandro chuckled, "but I'm sure you'll find tomorrow's clients promising."
We all looked at each other, excited.
"So, if you're chosen to come in I'll be sending a group text by twelve tomorrow in the afternoon. Make sure you come in looking your best, these boys will be paying good money to see you."
"Sir, yes sir," I saluted him.
"Alright, well have a good night ladies. Get home safe," he waved us off.
"Ugh I better see my name in that text tomorrow," Evelyn groaned as we got dressed.
"Of course you will, you're a club favorite!" I reassured her.
She rolled her eyes. "No Lorai, you're a club favorite."
I shook my head, "we're both club favorites." I grabbed her hand, "now let's get going, you know we have a long drive back home."
During the weekday I didn't go by Money Bunny, I went by Lorai Espinosa—Attorney at Lee Kennedy— exactly an hour away from Pink Kitty's Lounge. That's right, Monday through Friday I played lawyer. And damn am I good.
You're probably wondering how I'm able to live this double life. It's easy really, the girls here at the lounge are my family. None of them would ever dream of spilling my dirty little secret.
And as for my nightly guests, they don't suspect a thing.
Whatever outfit I have on...I have the perfect mask to match—it drapes over my face, only leaving my plump lips in full view. A good tease for the gentle-men-and-women.
Now it's not like what I'm doing is wrong, or even illegal, but if anyone found out about my extra curricular's, my name would be torn to shreds.
