No...IT CAN'T BE

Travis's POV

It's been a month Katie and I have been dating.

I look at the battlefield.I watch as a camper fends off a hellhound.

Yup you guessed it.It's the Giant War.

I glance at Miranda and Conner behind Katie and I.

We're waiting for our shift to go into battle.

Everyone here dead serious.It's the biggest war in demigod history.

The Hermes cabin isn't cracking jokes or playing pranks.

I take a look at the watch I'm wearing.We're going in in four minutes.

The silence is unbearable.I'm try breaking the ice.

"So..." I start

"Yeah?" Katie asks.Her face is expressionless.She has her lips in a grim line.

"Hey,You okay" I ask

"Not really" Her answers are short and expressionless

I crush her in a hug and whisper in her ear "Katie,It's going to be alright"

She bursts into tears " I know.It's just...I don't want to lose you"

"I don't want to lose you either" I respond

"Travis,If I die you'll have to move on without me"

"Don't die on me Katie"

Behind her Miranda stifles a laugh

"Hey! This is a couple moment!"

"I know *laugh laugh* but, I think you dropped something" She says pointing at the ground.

I look down and see the red box.I pick it up.Yeah,I actually bought something

"Katie,I wanted to give you this promise ring.To let you know that I want to really marry you"

"This isn't the best times but,there isn't really a better time" I'm holding both of her hands in mine

Katie's eyes glistens and nods her head.I slip the ring on her finger.

She takes a look at the ring.It's a simple gold band with a single pink rose on it.

Conner fake coughs."Sorry to ruin the moment but we have to go on our shift"

I take a look at my watch.We're three minutes late.

"C'mon let's go" Katie runs toward the battlefield with a sword in her hand and knifes and daggers strapped on her legs.

We all start killing monsters.So far I've killed five monsters.

It's been at least two hours and killed more than 50 monsters.

It's only Katie,Conner and me.Miranda's....gone....to the infirmary.

Suddenly I hear a yell of pain coming from only one person.Katie

"Katie!" I yell just after I have defeated my last monster.

I run toward Katie.She has a large gash in her stomach.Oh gods.I think It's pierced one of her organs.

I have to get Katie to the infirmary but, first I have to defeat this Dracaena.

I defeat it but,end up getting a large gash in my shoulder.
