Knox had two choices in front of him. One was swearing to his forefathers there had been cheating or to confide defeat. He wouldn't outright say it right here right then, but he was in deep shit. He watched Aaron, his supposed best buddy and roommate, flick his ginger curls out of his face, slap the cards down on the table, in a grandiose manner, giving him the stare of certain doom then flip them over. It was a fucking royal flush.

"Fucking hell,"

The four men around the table busted into robusticous unattractive laughter, filling the small room with it. The air was charged with too much smoke and testosterone. Knox's right leg under the table was shaking as he analyzed the game in front of him.

Sweat dripped down his forehead from the sizzling heat in the room. The attention was solely on him with peak amusement. He was the scapegoat for the tyranny these men were waiting to unleash. They were being childish idiots and jabbing at his sore point. He knew trying to screw himself out of this pitfall of a hole he placed himself into was improbable.

There was no way he was going to win. There was no way out of whatever sick dare Aaron was going to throw his way.

He was thoroughly fucked.

"Give up man," Aaron snickered, "You fucking lost. Where's the tough confident guy now?"

Knox's eyes snapped up from the game then he groaned. He covered his face with his hands and made a muffled silent scream into them. How did he get himself into this?

He couldn't tell anyone but it involved a high concentration of cockiness and alcohol. Now, look where that got him. At Aaron's mercy. Everyone knew that bastard was an addict to bets and he found the most undermining way to fuck with you if he got the chance. Knox swore it would have been better if he had jumped into his grave early than to try to prove he could beat Aaron at poker.

"Now what?" He said dropping back into his chair and staring at his friend with a resolve in his eyes. He had no other chance but to face whatever Aaron had for him. Fuck it. He wasn't no-.

"You sure you won't pussy out? Be honest, you're scared," Aaron laughed and mocked him. The room followed his antics, laughing into his face. Jared, Oscar, and Wyatt were drunk out of their minds. Knox knew this was just fuel for their sex-deprived brains. Being stuck on a ship that was on the sea for days on end could do that to a man.

"Come on! Bring it out already! I dare you to dare me!" Knox answered surging forward in his seat. He pointed into Aaron's smug-looking face.

"What do you want?"

The men hooted and started banging on the walls next to them like it was a drum. The drum roll continued as Aaron took up his phone and pushed it into his face.

Knox blanched.

"A fucking dating app? That's it?"

Aaron's grin got more mischievous. He tapped on the screen shifting to his gallery where female photos popped up. Knox felt like they looked oddly familiar.

"This is what you're gonna do for me. You're gonna pretend to be a girl and fuck with Victor,"

"That's insanity," Knox replied curtailing the "fuck no," by sheer will as he stared into Aaron's smug-looking face. He should have guessed that's the direction this dare would go.

Aaron played hard with his games.

"No mate, you're gonna do this, and you can't back out. Sign up,"

"Why Victor of all fucking dudes on this ship?"

"Because we all know you guys can't stand each other. The best way to fuck you over is with him and who doesn't enjoy watching a man think he's gonna score after this long tedious journey is over?"

"You're sick," Knox spat. The men around him laughed and started making kissing faces. The worst chant he's ever heard in his life began.

"Knox and Wallace sitting in a tree. K I S S I N G!"

"Shut the fuck up, fucking hell!" He shouted causing them to laugh harder at his plight. Knox slammed the phone down in front of him on the table. He was ready to leave because he didn't have to woo a man, a man he couldn't stand even the sight of, on a dating app of all things, while pretending to be a woman.

It would have been better if they had told him to die and go to hell.

"Be a man," Wyatt said, "Cap out and you will never live it down,"

"You're asking me to be a woman on a creepy app, to seduce Victor Wallace into thinking I'm crazy over his dick, Of all men on this godforsaken sea death machine! Do you not see how ridiculous that is?!"

"Yes, and that's exactly why it's your own specific dare made to detail," Aaron answered. He leaned back into his chair and smirked.

"Stop being a bitch and sign up,"

Knox looked around the room for help, for anybody to call bullshit and save him from the devil who was Aaron Phillips but they all had evil sickening grins on their faces. Knox was cornered at all sides. He knew he was stuck in this small room until he completed this stupid dare. The choice was stripped from him the moment Aaron said, "Bet" and he gave in.

"Fuck,"

He grabbed the phone and signed up, putting in the most generic girl name he could remember which was Sandra. He took the bait. He was in this now and he couldn't back out. He was now a blonde-haired female bombshell, the perfect bait to catfish Victor Wallace.

He must have committed mutiny in his past life.

"How will I find Wallace on this app?"

Aaron laughed at him, taking up his bottle from the ground and took a swing.

"Mate, you're about 500 miles out at Sea, out of about ten men they'll scavenge for, Wallace will be one of them"

The men snickered at Aaron being as smartass as he always was. Knox stopped himself from facepalming. He had questions. He had too many questions but he was also sweating buckets, caving under a pressure he didn't even know existed. How the hell did they even know Wallace used this app?

Knox swiped. He swiped on over three men. It took only the fourth swipe for Wallace to pop up. He almost threw the phone into the wall. He was ready to brawl any of these fucktards in the room just to forgo this dumb joke.

The strong-jawed hard-eyed, overly toned tall brute was smiling in the picture at some random location. Knox stared at the phone completely dumbfounded. He was, for sure, that this happy-go-lucky-looking shaved-headed giant on display wasn't Victor Wallace. It couldn't be.

Wallace was an ass with not even one fun bone in his body. A mood-killing piece of shit. He's never seen a smile on that bastard's face. Well, until now.

"Swipe"

Knox swiped and he waited. The whole room waited til a green announcement popped up saying,

"Match!"

The men in the room erupted jumping up and down like children on a seesaw. They cheered as if they just won a football game but Knox felt his heart stop. The vapid line on his heart monitor went flat and the scarce oxygen left the room. He wanted to black out.

"Good job," Aaron said as he tipped his bottle over to touch Knox's lips. Knox glared at the cause of this predicament. Aaron leaned in, grinned with too much amusement in his eyes, and said,

"Now get him to think you want to suck his dick."
