3rd person pov
when sam left, so did wes and amber but kai decided to follow wes and make sure that he would be safe. when he got home, she drove away but soon she saw cop cars heading towards his house and she got a bad feeling so she turned around again and saw them at his house.
she parked the car and ran over before she saw sam pull up and look at her. the two women stared at each other.
"its judy" sam stated
"and wes" kai told her sadly and they both sighed as they saw the body bags, they held each others hands before they heard someones voice and turned to see gale weathers
"excuse me" gale said and they turned to her
"oh my god, youre... youre you" sam said and kai stared at the women, she wasn't her honorary aunt the way dewey was her honorary uncle.
"last time i checked"
"are you okay? you seem like you're having a bit of a moment? did you know the sheriff?" gale asked
"sort of, she didn't like me very much but she babysat him and took care of him growing up " sam said as she looked at kai
"oh im so sorry, if it makes you feel any better i lost a friend to this stupid shit too, and the sheriff didn't like me either" gale told them
"im samantha. sam. carpenter. this is kai meeks-martin" she said and gale turned to her
"meeks?" she questioned
"randy was my uncle, my mom is martha meeks" she told her and gale stared at her.
"you look just like him, you knew the sheriff and her son?"
"yeah, he was like my brother, but im also her as a sort of detective. they needed me and its extra credit" kai said and sam nudged her
"hi"
"its nice to meet you girls"
"me and my sister were attacked" sam told her and gale sighed.
"oh. im sorry to hear hear that. im gale riley. weathers, im gale weathers, excuse me" she said and she ran over to dewey. kai watched them and sighed. she turned to sam and they looked in each others eyes before they watched gale and dewey
"i should call richie" sam said and she picked up her phone as she watched her in annoyance. she was so sick of hearing about richie and his life. she didn't want him to die but she wanted him to get injured or something just to make her life a little bit easier.
"yeah, im fine" sam said in response and kai stared at her in confusion.
"richie, listen to me. he killed two more people, wes and his mother" sam told him and thats when kai heard him
"he killed the sheriff? you can do that? i mean, are you okay? where are you?" he asked sam and sam ended the call as they saw the cop who was supposed to be with tara
"who's at the hospital? who's watching my sister?" sam asked
"i just heard about the sheriff" he told them
"where are you going?" he asked sam and kai
"my sisters in trouble" sam said and they got in the car. dewey got in with them and sam turned the car on as they drove to the hospital. kai didn't know what to do but she knew that they had to get there and fast so sam called tara but she didn't answer
"damn it" sam said as she ran a red light
"should you really be making a phone call right now?" dewey asked her and kai sighed.
"we have to, we can't let her get hurt again" kai said and it soon got dark out as sam drove faster
"stop! you know we have to live through this to help her right?" dewey asked her
"just hold on" sam said to him and she went through another red light, one after the other. kai called the cops at the hospital but he didn't answer and she sighed. sam called richie and told him that tara was in trouble.
but then he finally answered.
"richie! are you at the hospital?" sam asked and then they heard it
"hello, samantha. richie cant come to the phone right now, hes finding out what happens to people who stick their noses in business that doesn't concern them" they stated
"please don't hurt him" sam begged
"i'll tell you what, you can choose, i'll only kill one" they told them
"what? what? tara" sam called
"who do you want to hear die?"
"no, please, im begging you please dont hurt them" sam said and kai stared at her.
"fuck richie, thats your sister sam" kai told her. she knew that if chad or mindy were in this position, she would save them in two seconds so why wasn't sam?
"kais right, you cant save your own sister? all you have to do is say kill richie" he said
"no. tara! don't touch her. please please please im begging you" sam cried
"or say kill tara and ill make sure to hit all the organs i missed last time" he told her
"im begging you , please dont her"
"last chance to choose one, choose" they said aggressively
"why are you doing this?"
"you want to know why, sam? maybe its because you're a selfish bitch who can't even make a decision to save the life of someone you love. maybe you're too weak for this franchise" he told them and they walked in as they stood behind them
"maybe youre right. im maybe im stalling for time fuckhead" sam told them and dewey ran to richie but then they saw dewey get attacked
"get to the elevator" he told them
"dewey!"kai called out, she couldn't lose another uncle to this shit. she just couldn't. they watched ghostface get shot and they went to leave but dewey stopped.
"the head, you have to shoot em in the head or they always come back" dewey said
"dewey, who gives a fuck?" sam asked and the elevator closed.
"NO, DEWEY NO" kai said as she banged on the door but it didn't matter because he was already gone and he wasn't coming back.
she lost another uncle
