A gentle, cool breeze ran through her hair as she flipped through the crisp pages of the book resting on her hand. Her body rocked gently from back and forth as she continued to read. This is her favorite place throughout the entire manor. The only place where she's able to escape the tragic world that she's living in. The white balcony that she's on connects directly into her room, filled with many things that she loves. Compared to the entire estate, her room is the only place that screams life.

Too consumed about what she's reading, she didn't realize that her mother practically barged into her room without any warning. "Elysia, dear. Where are you?"

Elysia threw her head back onto the rocking chair and sighed out loud, "I'm out here, Mother." The sound of heels clattering on the floor is getting louder as Elysia closed her book and stared out into the open. One particular reason why she loves this place so much is because of the perfect view she has outside of her bedroom. Every morning, she would wake up to the sound of birds chirping on her balcony and little ducklings swimming around the pond at the rear end of the manor. If only it wasn't so hard to step foot outside, she would sit directly under the willow tree and read books all day.

"Why haven't you gotten dressed yet?" Her mother complained. "Stop wasting your time reading imaginary books and start getting dressed! Lovey will be attending you while I wait in the tearoom. Be down by 5!" And just like that, she left as fast as she came barging into Elysia's room.

Celine Lennox is the definition of a rich, snobby mother. Every comment coming from her mouth always results in the same thing: I only want what's best for you. No wonder her parents get along so well. They have the same ideologies of the wealthy and purebloods being superior to all. Even though Elysia despises their practices, she can't help but feel guilty every time she fights with them.

Elysia set her book down on the rocking chair and began to walk inside. The house elf, Lovey, stood by the wardrobe as it tried to find the perfect outfit for Elysia to wear. "I think the navy-blue dress goes perfectly well with this weather, don't you think?" Elysia said to the little creature.

"Lovey thinks Miss Lennox can wear anything and still look beautiful as ever." Elysia couldn't help but smile as Lovey began to assemble the outfit together for her to wear. Growing up, the only people that she was allowed to interact with were purebloods. Since her family has a history of attending Durmstrang, she was forced to enroll in the institution or else it'll be a disgrace to the family. Most students at Durmstrang weren't Elysia's cup of tea. Therefore, the house elves are the closest thing to a friend for her.

Despite Elysia being different from her parents, she is the spitting image of her mother. But with her father, not so much. Both women consist of deep chestnut brown hair that is always coiffed to perfection. Even from afar, anyone can tell that elegance runs in the family.

The little elf broke Elysia's train of thoughts as it settled her things in a neat pile on her bed. "Everything's done to perfection, Miss Lennox. Would you like Lovey to assist you on your way out?"

"That won't be necessary, Lovey. Thank you for your help." Elysia replied as she straightened out her dress, getting ready to meet her mother.

"Don't forget to bring your cloak, Miss Lennox!" Lovey said as she closed the door to Elysia's room.

Elysia took a final moment to look herself in the mirror, making sure that everything was to perfection. Before stepping out, she made sure to bring her cloak and wand just as Lovey warned.

Stepping out into the dark corridor feels like a punch in the gut for Elysia. It always bothered her how quiet the manor is. It's not the same as it once was. But either way, she has to pull herself together or else something terrible will be waiting for her at the end of the corridor.
