The day has finally come when Elysia Lennox is no longer a maiden.

There she was, once again, standing in front of a huge trifold mirror as her mother stood behind her, trying to fix the back lace of her gown. The bridal room is quite pleasant. There is just enough space for a couple of people and if she were to have bridesmaids, this would be a perfect place to get ready for.

"Out of all the dresses in that boutique, I can't believe you would choose this one." Celine complained while tightening the straps. "Raising you up, I'd never presume you'll be the type to have such a lack of taste."

Rolling her eyes, Elysia inhaled and argued, "In my defense, I do have taste in fashion. This gown in particular is an exception."

"How so?" Celine called out from behind as she walked across the room to attain Elysia's heels from the white box.

"It's different and nothing like I've ever seen before." She lied, knowing bloody well that it is the most hideous dress she's ever seen.

Celine came around and set the heels down as she took Elysia by the hands. She shook her head at her girl and chuckled to herself. "You are your father's daughter." She explained. "Whenever your father sees something different, it always catches his eye."

"I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree after all." Elysia laughed.

Celine took a second to herself as she stared at Elysia with bittersweet tears. "Today is the day that you're going to leave your father and I. We may not have been the best parent or even present at the wedding, but just know that we're always here for you."

"Mother..." Elysia began but soon got cut off by Celine. "I know that this is a big moment for you but, your sister would've been so proud of you."

Sister. Right. Elysia thought to herself as her expression softened into nothing.

"Enough of these dreadful tears." Celine cried out as she's wiping away her tears. "I'll be leaving now, since you have a wedding to attend to." And just like that, Celine walked out of the room, leaving Elysia behind in her own thoughts of what could've been if her sister would've been alive today.

The altar was not as flourish as Tom would've thought it'll be. And he was thankful for that. The gazebo stood in the middle of the aisle with vines over growing the marbled stone. The white flowers aligned down the aisle as it garnished itself over the altar. Simple but enough for it to be a proper ceremony.

Tom walked through the empty aisle as the officiant followed him from behind. When they reached the altar, Tom made sure to put the rings on top of the stand as he patiently stood on the right, waiting for his bride to walk down the aisle.

Many thoughts are running through his mind at this exact moment. He hasn't even had a proper conversation with the girl before. Not that he even cared about it at all. All he knew is that he had to do whatever it takes to get his hands on that artifact. If it means sacrificing the innocent girl then so be it.

Minutes had passed by and Tom began to feel agitated. The bride hasn't showed up yet and it's been more than five minutes since the ceremony was supposed to start. He kept glancing at the end of the aisle but discreetly trying to focus his attention on something else.

If this woman doesn't come out in less than a minute, I'm going in there to fetch her myself. Tom thought to himself as he took a deep breath.

A minute has exactly passed by and Tom was full of it. He chuckled to himself lightly as his blood began to boil at the thought that his bloody bride is tremendously late for their own wedding ceremony. Tom isn't exactly the most patient person in the world and he surely won't wait for anyone.
