Chapter 13

"Cadet DiCaprio, you are now being investigated. Tell us nothing but the truth or else you'll face the maximum amount of punishment for insubordination." The disciplinary commander said. 

Sunghoon is now facing them while his hands are handcuffed together. He can only undergo this kind of impartial justification, Although he can understand since this wasn't like the military. 

"Why am I getting punished for someone's misdemeanor and obscenity?" Sunghoon asks trying to get his way out of here. 

"Officer Hans is notorious for doing vile things but while we maintain order and punish miscreants, it is still unjust for a cadet to beat up an officer." The disciplinary commander justifies. 

"Why? Even though I witnessed how he violated Cadet Bond in front of everyone?" Sunghoon asks angrily, he can't fathom how many cadets did get trapped by Officer Hans's antics. 

"I understand your frustration but this won't help the organization at all! Beating up someone in power will only destroy the organization. The hierarchy must be maintained even if reprimanding cadets like you!" The disciplinary commander answers with a command. 

At that moment, Sunghoon realizes something significant. He forgot what is the true nature of this mission. He isn't here to be buddies with everyone, he never intended to follow any of the rules here.  

He forgot the vital fact that this is Eagle Faction. One of the Factions that massacred a lot of people because of their senseless war. 

He shouldn't have expected that this Eagle Faction is righteous or in need of salvation. He never decided to put his life on the line just to give them a chance. 

"Do you understand Cadet DiCaprio? Because if you understand then we will impose the lightest punishment on you!" The disciplinary committee.   

Sunghoon looks at the people in front of him, he could only laugh internally at how he forgot what's the most important thing. 

"Yeah, I understand now. Thanks for reminding me, disciplinary commander!" Sunghoon exclaims with command. 

"Okay disciplinary officers, give cadet DiCaprio a light beating and ten whipping on his back." The disciplinary commander said and leaves the room.

The room suddenly opens while Sunoo was silently praying on his bed bunker. Sunghoon appears in front of him, staggering and clearly beaten up. 

"Human!" Sunoo said and hugs him. 

But when his hands touch Sunghoon's back, the whip marks started to sting. 

"Angel, it hurts." Sunghoon hisses after his back stinging in pain. 

"What happened to you? Who did this?" Sunoo asks and assists Sunghoon to sit on the bed. 

"It's the disciplinary committee's punishment. I can't get away from what I did." Sunghoon replies and acts tough. 

"Why are they so evil? Can't they make an exception? I mean, your intention was good." Sunoo argues while venting out his anger. 

"We can never forget that they're Eagle Faction, Angel. They were never good to begin with." Sunghoon replies with his enlightenment about the whole ordeal. 

"I'm sorry, human. I did not expect." Sunoo said as he surrenders in defeat. 

"It's okay, Angel. This is our mistake for getting ahead of ourselves we could complete and scat from this mission. From now on, we will no longer expect any mercy from them as we also need to show them everything but mercy." Sunghoon replies and sighs heavily.
