Sophie stared at Oralie, furious. "After all this time? Why? WHY HIDE IT FROM ME?"
" Sophie I'm sor—"
" Oh, you don't get to play your stupid pity games on me." Sophie scoffed, rage filling her, she flipped Oralie's makeup table, flinging the photo of Kenric and Oralie together onto the floor,cracking. Oralie flinched " I-I can't" Sophie stormed out of her tower and went home with Sandor.
After Sophie left, Oralie collapsed into a crying heap on the floor, thinking through everything. At first , she had been happy, happy planning with Kenric about when they would resign together. Then he died. There had been nothing left to live for. But she remembered Sophie, that she had to be there for her. Now, there was nothing left, no one left for her. When she thought of that, she just cried harder drowning out the rest of the world.
