Chapter 3

Carrie was waiting at the bus stop, the left side of the bus stop that is. It was the route that took him to school only, so the stop was only allowed to students at his middle school that lived near him. There was the group of eighth graders at his stop on the right side, that was were there was a bench and shaded metal cover on top of it. Carrie went over there once, first one kid came and went over to lean on the left side of the metal cover. After that more kids came over, but didn't go near the bench. Then all five of them were there, so they decided to go tell off Carrie when they were all together. You wouldn't believe the names that they called him, or how many curse words they used. Carrie had a feeling that they always thought those things about him. Or always called him things that either involve his sickness, or his skin color in their heads. They were just waiting for a reason to tell those things to him. But then again, all he did was sit by their regular bench. And it's not like he wasn't allowed over there or anything, those kids were just being jerks! He never wanted to be around them ever again that day... and it was just a week ago when it happened! Carrie looked at his black watch on his right hand, it was already eight o' five, the bus was five minutes late. He looked over to his right side to see the two girls and three boys. He knew that they all thought that he was afraid of them. He wasn't... he hated them. Was it wrong?  Was it wrong to feel so much hatred towards people like that!? He didn't want to hurt them or anything... because he knew that he couldn't do anything. Just then, he saw the bus rolling in near the stop, the eighth graders didn't even realize it until it stopped right near Carrie. "Ugh," Carrie heard one of the kids say on the side of the bus stop, "Freaking' little kid.". Oh, right He thought sarcastically, I forgot that they didn't like to walk the extra ten feet... .

When Carrie moved forwards towards the bus, one of the boys in the group had pushed him out of the way. "C'mon move!", He said as the rest of the group had walked by Carrie. When they all went by him, Carrie finally got on. The first thing that he saw when he went up the steps of the bus was the bus drivers seat. Also... The old sticker on the side of the left side window. It was a small dragon sticker that had been there ever since he had first got on, it was so old that half of it was torn off and faded away. He had stared at it for only a few seconds before someone on the bus had yelled "Hey, hurry up kid!". The bus driver looked back to see who it was that said that, but after that... did nothing. Figures... . Carrie moved closer into the bus so he wouldn't get yelled at again. He did a short sigh... the bus was full again.
